Third installment of WWOHP?

Bringing up a thread from the past

Looking back thru it, we all know what happened

I will admit it's interesting to look back a year later and see what they've done.
Kong - Opened
Hulk - Close
Twister Replacement (Jimmy Fallon) - coming along nicely some rumors are they are ahead of schedule and could be in softs for the holiday season.
Disaster Replacement (Fast and Furious) - going slower and officially pushed back to 2018
Volcano Bay coming along nicely
Sapphire Falls - Opened but work still needing to be done on convention center
Hello Kitty store/Meet and Greet replace Lucy.

6th Hotel announced.
Major land re-acquisition down Universal drive big enough for a 3rd theme park more hotels and 2nd shopping district.
Rumors of Secret Life of Pets ride coming to both Hollywood and Orlando. Orlando rumored to go in current location of toon lagoon theater.
Nintendoland is still on the horizon - Possibly starting after Jimmy Fallon opens

I could definitely see a magical America/Fantastic Beats area go into a third theme park in Orlando when they open it. Sure they will be lots of opportunities for expansion with it, but given the different eras and characters it will be hard to make it an expansion of the current lands, but with a third theme park would make a great showcase land.
I could see Nintendo or DreamWorks going in here too for a kids land. Think Nintendo would be better to really draw in the crowds but if they do put it in the other parks then I could definitely see DreamWorks going into the new park for a land.

I don't think that Universal would build an all HP park. It would probably be a big hit but would either leave out the main things people want or possible feel a bit redundant. We already have Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, Hogwarts Express, Diagon Alley, and Gringotts bank with coaster. These are the main things people think of when looking to the books. While there is plenty of material to expand with it would be strange to have these missing from a HP park or to have them located in two parks at the same resort. Makes more sense to just add on a bit more to what they have and then maybe put in a new area for the Fantastic Beasts films. Plus they have plenty of IPs to use to fill ina third park and running low on space to expand the current parks so be better to expand more fo their IPs they own into a third park than have it all devoted to one that is prominently featured already.

If Fantastic Beast does well with Box office and fans, I could see that happening. My money is on Ministry of Magic.

But I think they will do something with the Nintendo brand first. It could be a way to bring more young people into the parks.

Is that even a question?

There's a slim chance that it might. Very slim. But I have a lot of faith in JK Rowling. She's a good writer and there's lots of love for this Universe that she's created. It looks good. I'm excited to see it.

She has put a lot of back story in this that is fascinating to read

Am I the only one who would love to see the Burrow( Weasley family house) too? It could be set up like a tour where you walked thru and different magic things are going on and maybe characters interacting (similar to Bills scene at Gringotts).

I would also love a Forribean Journey ride (you could sit in Arthur's enchanted car) and see werewolves, unicorns, centaurs.

I am giving myself goosebumps!

I think a Ministry type ride would be awesome. There are so many rooms to explore and the elevator was crazy as well. The room where serious was taken by the big veil, the department of mysteries, the room where it would not stop raining, the rooms where they held court...I could go on and on!

Also a forbidden forest ride would be fun as well. Imagine seeing all the creatures that hide out in there.

There are a lot of things I would love to see in the park, but if they truly are serious about making a continuation of something related to Harry Potter they have to get filming right away to prepare themselves. As a lot of the rides have some sort of involvement in film, it wouldn't work if they suddenly got an idea on how to continue onward 10 years later on a concept relating to the original series. They couldn't even manage to get Emma Watson to do voice work for Gringotts, or HE.

I have often thought about a Hogwarts themed hotel with all 4 houses as sections for the sleeping rooms and a the Great Hall as the featured dining area. Would be kinda cool, but wonder if the staff would grow weary of trying to honor all the requests to be in either Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff & Ravenclaw?! :)

I would love to see a HP themed hotel!! They would have to include the express pass with it tho.

I'm hoping we see some American Wizarding School merchandise. I've been sorted on the Pottermore site.

I'm Gryffindor on Hogwarts side and Pukwudgie on the American.

Yeah I really didn't see myself being sorted that way. But if my Hogwarts version is really like I was in high school, My best friends will all be in Ravenclaw

Go to the Pottermore site. It's a lot of fun. You can also be given a wand, well a digital one.

Gryffindor and Thunderbird here!

Slytherin and Horned Serpent here. Apparently I'm just associated with serpents in the wizarding world haha. I was strongly in Horned Serpent though but was only one point difference between Slytherin and Ravenclaw for me. If only Slytherclaw was a truly official house haha

Poseidons Fury would be an excellent building for something Potter......would not miss that at all.
Poseidon's Fury might be hard to incorporate just based on the physical location - BUT - the Sinbad show is pretty close - could that work?
Also, geographically, Fear Factor could definitely be eaten by a growing Diagon Alley area and I'd love that.

I could see Harry Potter taking over Sinbad eventually. Either for a new ide, but think it'd be cool to have a Harry Potter stage show. See something like the Order/DA fighting the Death Eaters and "spells" being cast on the stage. Could be a really cool show.
And I thin it's probably just a mater of time before a Diagon Alley expansion takes over Fear Factor. It's not real popular and hardly relevant anymore as the final show aired over 4 years ago but have hardly heard anyone talk about the show since well before then. It would be a perfect location for a Ministry of Magic attraction which would be insanely popular. I think it's ore like to expand to that spot next than anything on the Hogsmeade side. Would also be a lot easier to tear down and develop the Fear Factor stage and area than to change over anymore of the Lost Continent. Plus those areas at least look nice still whereas the Fear Factor stage is just a very plain looking spot with zero theming.
