Is Monsters Inc Laugh Floor moving to Hollywood?

I've read on various forums that Monster's is moving from Magic Kingdom to DH. Which makes perfect sense because the attraction doesn't have anything to do with the Tomorrowland theming. It would fit in better at Hollywood in a new Monster's Inc section. Plus it's a cheap way to add a new attraction to an attraction starved park.

Plus Magic can put in a ride or show that actually makes sense like Wall-E, Guardians of the Galaxy or Big Hero 6

Yeah, they need to either move it or demo it. I'd go with the latter, because it isn't any good. No offense to the show, but the kiddie jokes just aren't funny.

I never understood why they even put it in Magic in the first place.

No...

What forums did you read this on? It's not being moved. DHS is not getting a monsters inc. area like originally planned.

I can't remember where it was, but it was fairly recent. It said that 2 or 3 attractions would be in the area next Toy Story Land, where Mermaid and the Star Wars meet and greet currently resides.

I doubt they are doing this, but if they want a Monsters Inc attraction for DHS, they need to bring over the Monsters Inc attraction from either DLR or TDL.

Well I can tell you it's not happening from everything I've seen.

A company that still cares about giving an amazing experience to guests and truly cares about the guests rather than their profits.

True, but sorta feel it was dum decision on Disney's part. How much money do they make from the licensing fees anyway? I feel like this wouldn't happen with today's management. Maybe it's because I wish the US parks were still run like the Tokyo ones though.

I think it still would've happened today. Look at all of the parks built since the US ones, they all are not completely owned by Disney. If Disney didn't make much money off of the agreement I'm sure they would've done something by now to change that. The Tokyo parks are two of the most visited theme parks in the world.

Tokyo is the only park Disney doesn't own at least 43%. The chart in this article has the percentages for all the parks around the World:

Walt Disney Co Owns Less of Its Theme Parks Than You Might Think

Laugh floor depends on who's in the audience. Out of the three times I did it, early morning got some pretty good jokes and I wanted to try it again later in the night and see if it would get more "adult" since it was around midnight, it got less adult actually. Four years later when I went on it during the middle of the day, I can't tell a lie I laughed my butt off. They were making fun of the audience, I believe they found a boo during this show as well, and they really fine-tuned what wasn't working before MU came out. I don't want it gone per say but I much rather have it in MGM

Aww. That makes me sad to hear people don't like it. There were times it had me full on lol'ing. I know the audience is part of what makes it so funny but I am terrified the camera will come to me one day. I wish I could get over that. :crazy2:

Right... A company that is also withholding all projects to capitalize on the olympics in 2020, the same company who decided not to do anything major in between now and then after they were upset how much they spent on midway mania, the same company who decided to "cute-ify" Sindbad's Storybook Voyage with a character who is now completely exploited park-wide, as well as expanding the Duffy line off characters to capitalize on him. If they truly cared about guest experience as much as you were claiming, these points wouldn't have applied

I agree Happy, I was thinking the same thing. I'd be happy if they brought the two preexisting MI attractions and made just one new one (like the rumored door rollercoaster).

The California one looks so fun, that it almost makes me want to go out west. Plus Hollywood needs some kiddie rides. Right now the only kiddie one currently at the park is Toy Story.

Have you been to Tokyo? I haven't but I don't think you can truly talk about the guest experience until you have. Tokyo doesn't have the major construction companies to work on multiple major projects at once or costs would be incredibly higher than they are now. Tokyo is always changing things and adding things especially entertainment. They have a full Easter parade that runs in the spring. WDW is lucky to get a pre parade.

The Japanese love Duffy why wouldn't you expand that line? Expanding something that guests love means they do care about the guest experience. I don't understand why they shouldn't expand on something like that.
