Disney Gift Card Deals

Went back to my local Walgreens that I couldn't purchase $500 ebay gc yesterday. It worked fine for $300 one and the day before that,$400 gc. Didn't use rewards card or have any other items. Not sure if it matters though.
In CT.

I just got back from Walgreens. I just got $100 eBay with one of my Walgreens cards (since I hadn't tried that particular Walgreens) and as I swiped, the cashier said "Oh, you can't do that!" and turned around but it had already gone through (first swipe, whew). He said "I could really get in trouble for this. I hope I don't." I don't know. I said I was sorry and I didn't know. Odd.

I just bought $250 Best Buy gc with my American Express. A/e Offer said spend $250 get $25 back. Used Mypoints 4pts/$ . MPS says no gcs but received pts for ebay gcs on 5/20. BB rwrds says 250=$5 but not sure. Plus A/E 1%.
Planning on using for Ebay gcs then hopefully discount gas gcs + bucks.

Has anyone hit the wall yet with the eBay gc spending limit? I did for the first time today. It was unexpected because I was using my DD account which had only spent about $800 in gc in the last 2 months, but I got an error saying something like I had already used my limit in gc purchases. So I'm wondering if it's tied to PayPal to track it because I was using my PayPal acct which I also use with my own eBay acct, and I've definitely spent over $2000 in that one recently. I thought the limit was per eBay acct, but this seems like it needs to be separate PayPal acts too. Can anyone else tell me if they've encountered this?

My experience is that it's connected to the ebay account. I tried buying Best Buy GCs on the ebay account where I do most of my churning and received the GC spending limit error message but was able to complete the purchase on another ebay account that I use. I use the same Paypal account to pay for GC purchases for both ebay accounts. Interested to hear other's experiences as well.

I had a weird experience today. I was buying a $50 Disney GC (from BB eBay store) and a $24.99 part for the farm on eBay. I paid with two gift cards, one that only had about $20 on it and the other had over $100. I try to use the old ones first so I don't have a million little ones hanging around. So it took them both as normal but I didn't realize until after I hit complete and pay, that it was only taking a partial payment from the big one and so leaving $35.xx to go on my credit card. It already went through, so I went and checked my balance and it was still $93 on that card. I can't imagine I'm at the $2000 since they started that rule unless they went back in history in which case in surprised I had any room at all. I also wondered if maybe I couldn't use the GC on the GC, but then it would have left $50 instead of $35. So weird. Anyone have any insight?

Doctor of Credit is reporting that the new eBay limits are RETROACTIVE! So, yes, they are going back 60 days to tally gift card usage. BOO!!!

Is there a way to see how much you've used in the past 60 days? I don't keep track of it.

Here is the OLD article that explains it in detail but uses old eBay/paypal limits: http://moneymetagame.com/giftcards/how-to-check-your-ebay-gift-card-usage-on-paypal/

In summary . . .

#1 - use this paypal link to download activity - https://www.paypal.com/signin?retur...in/webscr?via=ul&state=?cmd=_history-download

#2 - Then use this link to determine what date to input for 60 days prior - http://www.convertunits.com/dates/daysfromnow/-60

#3 - Download (to excel use CSV delimited).

#4 - Once in Excel, you want to look for records with type "Voucher." I just sorted by type and deleted everything else.

Thank you SO much for this. I saw that by sorting this way, it will also include purchases made with eBucks, but it's simple enough to subtract those. Now I know how much I can spend, if I ever get a promotion again.

I wonder if the Ebucks redemption will be included in the $2k limit?? I wouldn't think so, but I haven't tested it.

Just so I can start tracking properly...is this $2000 limit referring to ALL purchases made using an eBay gift card? Or is it only PPDG purchases?

As far as I know, its everything purchased with an eBay gc.
Thanks. I just went back into my eBay purchase history and filtered it by "Past 60 Days". It's fairly easy for me to sort because I don't buy gift cards with anything BUT eBay gift cards (except the shipping...that comes out of my PP account) and I don't buy merchandise with gift cards. It does really add up fast. I thought I was "slowing down" but I see that I've made a purchase at least once, if not twice a week. My tally is at $875 right now, but $25 of that falls off tomorrow. I'm almost halfway to my limit and most of my purchases were $50. That means that they will fall off days apart which could impact me if I want to make a larger purchase when (or IF) an eBucks promo comes out.

I thought about getting on a schedule, but then I thought that perhaps "patterned spending" would raise a flag at the PPDG fraud department. I think I will do the opposite and try to keep it random, varying my amounts and frequency of purchases. Hopefully that will reduce the perception of fraud or them seeing me as a reseller.

While I still prefer to churn through Walgreen's (to avoid PPDG), I don't like the shipping costs and I am really afraid of suddenly losing the ability to use them to buy other gift cards. If I'm going to get stuck with hundreds of dollars in gift cards, I'd much rather be stuck with BB since there is a LOT of stuff I'd like to buy from them that does NOT include gift cards.

Woo hoo! I just saw that MyCokeRewards has $10 Target e-Cards for 670 points! There doesn't appear to be a limit either:banana:.

I've been saving my codes (plus all of the 12-pk codes my mom sends me) so that we can get at least 2 free 12-pks from the Speedway/Hess station when we go to BWV in October:thumbsup2. I have 1225 now and I only need 550 for the 12-pk coupons so I grabbed one of the Target cards. I'm still sitting on a bucket full of caps and box tops but since I already hit my weekly limit, I will have to wait to order more.
