If you went in with no bag

I went bagless for the first time ever this summer. It was freeing! LOL Anyway, I was a bit apprehensive about carrying a credit card w/o a bag. So no credit card. Fast forward-into La Cava and the magic band system is not working. I do have an applewatch/apple pay and that worked just fine. So if you have one of those, skip the physical card

I have not carried a bag into the park in years, bought some cargo shorts and skirts and keep my phone and ID/Credit card/AP in my phone case. might wrap a sweater around my waist if its going to be chilly but I breeze through the no bag check line (unless I get to go through the metal detector).

On the rare occasions I go bagless, I have a phone case that has slots for my ID and credit card, so that goes in my back pocket. I also bring a small portable charger and cable in one pocket and a tube of chapstick and a travel tube of sunblock in the other pocket. Sunglasses on my head. Sometimes I bring a small camera, and that goes in my other back pocket.

For the most part, though, I just bring a small crossbody bag and include a poncho, some bandaids, some hand sanitizer, lotion, and whatever other things I think I might need. Plus the bag means I can just stuff small souvenirs in there, rather than bothering with having them taken back to the resort.

I think I may try "bagless" during our next trip.

If I am wearing a Vera Bradley landyard with Zip ID case around my neck, that would still be considered "bagless", correct?
Anyone ever do this?
That would be where I could put my ID, credit card, & DVC Member card.

I take my phone, lip balm, ID, passholder card, and a small amount of cash. Oh and my Magic Band of course.

I wore a Passporter Pouch around my neck and was told I had to go through the bag line. Mine did have an extra pocket so that may be why but I would be prepared to be told to go into the bag check line with that unless it is 100% clear.

I went bagless a few times last year - had my magic band - with charging privileges and my mobile phone.

Loved the freedom it gave me to get on and off rides without a problem, straight into the park without bag check.

If I'm wearing capris with pockets or cargo shorts (I found a few boys pairs that fit me) I go bagless. I have my phone, a small wallet with my ID, CC, AP card and some cash, my glasses around my neck, a cap on my head (if it's not hot enough to have to wear it yet, it gets hooked around a belt loop) my sunglasses on my face. If I think it might rain (who am I kidding, it always rains when I go) I wear a sundress and carry a crossbody that will hold either my umbrella or my rain jacket.

I read a tip on these boards a long time ago to bring a cheap drawstring bag that you can fit in a pocket. When you are inside you can unload your pockets into it.

We have done this several times. DH can handle his pockets being fully loaded as long as we can unload when we get into the parks.

But I've read that if people have full pockets, they aren't letting them through as quickly as before? Anyone have any experience with this?

Before they had the metal detectors I went through with my phone and wallet in one cargo pocket and poncho in the other. I was wearing boy shorts (I'm a woman) so they were bagging a little from the weight and I got pulled over and had to empty my pockets and got a pat down. The guard and I had a good laugh about it.

i went bagless a couple of times, put couple of things in pockets and left extra stuff in a locker (myself and youngest DS are pretty pasty, no sunscreen reapplication for an entire day is not an option for people like us!).

I'm more inclined to carry a backpack in the timeframe you are traveling to the World than in the summer months. The main reason is so I can put jackets in the backpack if not needed during the day.... At night, in February, a jacket may be required. The summer months, no jacket required at anytime. You would melt :)

I wear my Utilikilt, which has enough pockets to hold a 6 pack, sort of like cargo shorts for men. In it I stash: pins on a lanyard, cellphone, medicine case, small sunblock, id, cash, Disney Visa (for discounts and charging), and (sometimes, not always) a clip to attach a water bottle to my belt loop.

Even with all that no one has ever asked me to go through bag check.

I got one of these http://www.eynproducts.com phone cases for our June trip. I put our AP and TIW cards in it with a credit card and my Driver's License and a $20 bill. I wore my sunglasses and hat. I bought dresses with pockets and put the case in my pocket. One day I didn't have pockets and alternated between carrying the case and having DH keep it in his pocket. I loved it so much! It was great bypassing the long bag check lines. DH got selected for the metal detectors twice when we were returning to the MK in the evening, but it took about 30 seconds for him to get through.

For our trip last December I got a Running Buddy and liked it, too. I just put the same things in it as I have in my case. However, the week after our trip was when the metal detectors went in, and I wasn't sure if I could still go through the bagless line with it. I also found that it tended to pull my skirts down a bit, and I don't have that problem with the phone case.

I would love to go bagless, but I don't see how it's possible. At a minimum, I would need:

  • Cell phone.
  • Fuel rod & recharging cord.
  • Wallet (ID debit cards, some cash).
  • Sunscreen.
  • Vape pen.
  • Glasses case (to store my glasses on those rides where they tell you to take your glasses off).
...and there would be no way I could fit all of that into my pockets. Unless I were wearing cargo shorts, and Mrs. Homie has officially banned cargo shorts from my wardrobe.

Got Magic Band, ID and phone or no phone and I am good. We never take more to the parks than that.

Whole lot of people not using sunscreen in this thread...yikes.

How big is the zip case? DH had a cellphone case with a caribiner attached to his belt loop and was denied entry to the bag-free line. Next time he put it in his pocket as he walked through and it was fine.

Glasses case (to store my glasses on those rides where they tell you to take your glasses off).

What rides are those??? I don't even take off my glasses at Universal.

Just back from WDW and went bag-less for the first time ever. I took my phone, a power stick, charger cable, small bottle of sun tan lotion, and MagicBand. Hat and sunglasses on my head. Eight days in the parks and never wanted for anything else.

I knew you had to be a dude based on your response. I was thinking where am I going to stuff all that stuff in my tiny pockets? I'm tempted to go Bagless but I will probably end up with a cross body.

The idea of a bunch of stuff jammed in my pockets makes my skin crawl. I'd much rather wear a cross body bag. And especially now when there is no guarantee you will skip the screening even if you are bagless.
