This is from a park attraction; it's not a light fixture. :tink:

Spent the morning at the Unity Theater with our budding actress . Two week summer drama camp coming to an end with performances this weekend of PINOCCHIO. No "starring roll" :sad2: :rotfl:... drama camp students get backup parts but she was a ballerina/villager and soooo enjoyed the part and camp. Lot of new friends and fun performance. One of the gentlemen from Miracle on 34th Street was Geppetto so they had a special bond. :goodvibes Fun morning.

Don't think I wasn't tempted to book last night :rotfl:; that comment came out of "left field" and I hadn't even thought of anything for the end of this year....thought he'd want his deep sea fishing trip more! :faint: Didn't have time to check on anything last night and today is just as busy but might take a look at what's available. The 30% off offer I received is good until August 31st but my guess is all of those available rooms have been snatched up. The offer is only good for deluxe resorts so may look at Port Orleans or POP and do some "math". Our insurance appeal was denied :sad2: but the head surgeon told DH he'd "write off" his portion. BUT haven't heard anything from his assistant yet so, currently, still looking at an unexpected $1,500 charge from her :headache:. I'm tempted to "throw caution to the wind" but need to think this out. Denise...I'd actually thought about the Flower and Garden Show next spring, mainly because volleyball season starts next week. Terri...Redstorm's team will be right in the middle of district play in early November and we'd hate to miss any of that. I honestly think, after 5 days of "the 6 of us under the same roof" he's just ready to get away already! :lmao: We'll see.......... :tink:

always Port Orleans :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So when are you going? I'm planning/hoping to go to DW next spring for the Flower Garden Show.

I wish Jeff and Diane could go too!!! Poor Diane! I wish we could all take up a collection for her to get there! Hey Diane, how about a "Go Fund Me" page for Diane's Much Needed Trip to DW!?!

I've been saving. Trying to decide if we should "splurge" and go with the Poly:cloud9: or save and go with a moderate. It is for our 25th so I say splurge because I don't know when I'll get back. :rotfl: Then deciding to go next summer which will be our 25th or wait until the summer after.:headache:

This is CrAzY  that I'm even thinking about it! I finally had a few minutes this evening (yes...we now live in the same house but I haven't actually "talked" with DD since yesterday around 2 PM  :rotfl2:) to tell DD what her Dad had asked me at dinner last night. She replied, "SHUT UP!" :lmao: and immediately gets on the computer. We can get a round trip ticket on Southwest from Austin to Orlando in December for $124.00! :faint: Traveling TO Orlando for $54.00; return trip $80.00 :faint: ... the "catch" is the flights are 9 days apart. She then, for the fun of it, checks prices for All Star Music for 9 days plus 9 days park tickets with the code discount I have. Total price for 2 ... around $1,850.00 so total for airfare, room and park tickets would be $2,100.00; add QS dining for $700.00. CrAzY cheap compared to other trips and this would be for December. Diane...I think it's time you check this out too! :yay: DH and I both agree, 9 days would be to long ... especially in December but sure is something for me to think about! :tink:

Start thinking ... lots of options out there. I'd originally thought I'd like to stay this next time at the CR. DD checked that price (for the 9 days) and it was like $6,000! :faint: :tink:

That's a great deal. I would love to go in December but with kids in school and playing sports it is not possible. Someday. I will have to stick with summer for now. I remember when summer was considered value season and prices were cheaper. 9 days is not too long. I need a discount code. Riverside is nice.

December is actually Redstorms "downtime". Volleyball is finished the middle to end of November and soccer tournaments start the beginning of January. She'll probably have practice but Mimi and Pappy don't go watch that. :rotfl2: The only thing we might miss would be the Princess's Christmas program at school so it's actually a good time for us. The real downside for me is all the Christmas decorating. Last year was stressful but if I start earlier this year I could probably get all done before we'd leave. Busy again this evening and STILL haven't had time to look closer at things. :headache: :tink:

Have you thought about a Disney cruise? I just looked and there is a 7 day out of Galveston in December for $2900. That's only $100 more than your WDW trip (including dining). You could also drop your park drip down to 6 days and add a 3 night cruise out of port Canaveral. Not sure what the price combined would be, you would have to do some match. All your food is included in the cruise, so your only other expenses would be tips and port parking. Of course you could spend more if you bought alcoholic drinks, photos and gifts. You can bring two bottles of wine or 6 pack of beer each. They are amazing.

Oh no~no~no~no~no~no :rotfl:... I'd have to be medicated AND full of those alcoholic drinks (which wouldn't take much...I'm a "one drink limit" type of drinker ) before I'd be on one of those cruise ships leaving the dock. Just looking at pictures of staterooms gives me the "heebie jeebies"! :scared1: Claustrophobia takes over just typing about it! :rotfl2: All of my "cruising friends" tell me it wouldn't bother me :lmao:; they don't have a clue how those small spaces get under my skin. Realistically, maybe, if I toured a ship and spent a few hours onboard, I may be okay but not taking that chance. I gave up a trip to Austria/Germany with our high school band knowing I couldn't spend 10+ hours on a plane...around 3 hours is my limit...my skin "starts to crawl" after that. Thanks for the suggestion  but I think I'll stick to my original plan. :tink:

Park? Food service? Prime Time?

For the Flower Garden Show in the spring, I'm looking at $2,054 for the least expensive moderate resort (Coronado Springs), $600 for airfare, $452 for park tickets. That's $3,106 and it doesn't include food.

DD asked me about Coronado Springs too; might be something to look at but she just didn't like it a whole lot with all the issues they had pertaining to the soccer tournament. We'd go with cheapest available which is why we were looking at values. We'd have no "time issues" with bus travel without the family...it would be one of those "do it when you want to" trips which does NOT happen when the whole family is there. In fact...that would seem VERY strange :rotfl2: with the only "time table" being getting to dining reservations. :rotfl: That price on airfare is ... WOW ... our round trips out of Austin for the 2 of us would total about $250. :faint: Another reason I love Southwest...and we get 2 checked bags free. :woohoo: Even traveling out of Houston adds a minimum of $50 per ticket and the Austin airport is awesome. Small, compact, easy to get to and getting through security is a breeze. Doing all the research is fun :dance3:..."takes me away" from all the things I need to get done around the house. ::yes:: But right now I need to get ready to leave for church....always on a time table...:tink:
