"Baby Swap"

Do Universal and Islands of Adventure have a baby swap provision, where people can through the line together, one can ride while the other waits with the baby and then they switch? We are thinking particularly of Forbidden Journey and Gringotts. I am assuming we can bring the baby on the Hogwarts Express?

Yes child swap is a pleasure at the darkside rides

Yes it works out quite well. We all waited in line together the baby and adult went into a waiting room and then we swapped. And thehogwarts express is fine, while it is a ride because of the theatrics it really just takes you from point a to b.

Unlike at Disney, where you split before you enter the line and your time apart is much longer, at Universal (Orlando and Hollywood) the swap area is right near seating, so everyone goes through the line together.

(this is, of course, difficult if you have a skittish child and you're trying to ride The Mummy where even the line is incredibly creepy, but that's what Single Rider is for, IMO)

How many people can "swap"? Just 1 adult and the baby? Thinking ahead - 3 step kids - 2 might want to ride with Mom instead of with stepdad and grandma

One more question - do you swap at every ride that they won't be tall enough - thinking of motion rides (amazing Spider-Man and others like that - baby will only be 11 1/2 months

swap at any ride you need to.

i have seen a family of 6 in the child swap sections before.
don't think there is a limit involved.

If this is an issue, ask them before you go in and there's a way around the line for those waiting in the child swap room first We had to ask after a rough experience with an easily scared child in line.

I'm not sure if there's a limit - and how well it's enforced if there is one. We swap all the time with having 1 adult and 2 kids riding together so I'm sure three total is allowed. I've seen larger families use it too but it was during low crowds - during a time that they might be less likely to enforce a maximum number rule if there is one.
