Need advice regarding park ticket strategy....

We will be in DW for 2 weeks in December. Bought the dvc 25 anniversary MYW tickets for 9 days, but just extended the trip to 13 days.

Should we:

1. Upgrade to a 12 day (do they even have that?) ticket and how much would that be?

The 9 day dvc ticket was $370ish. To get a 10 day plus tax it's $426 now!! If we decide to upgrade to a hopper it's $499. Out of pocket would be $50 to add a day, of $120 to upgrade to a 10 day park hopper.

They don't have 12 days?

2. Use an old 5 day hopper (paid $367) now worth $435. Upgrade to a Gold AP for $585. Out of pocket $150, and we would get 3 extra days.

The question is whether we can also add more than one ticket on our mydisneyexperience. If we choose route 2, then we need 12 days of tickets to book our fast pass.

If we can add more than one ticket, then how does the magic band decide which ticket to use?

Help... I'm so confused.

We have a quick 3 day trip planned in April but it doesn't have to be a park trip. We are staying at Wyndham bonnet creek and would be happy just doing the pool and Disney springs then...

there are no 12 day tickets available for USA. If they allow modifications, you can add the extra day for $50. But, assuming the DVc tickets don't expire, I would upgrade your old PH tickets to Gold AP (do they still bridge? If so, upgrade after you use it to get the higher value), or upgrade your DVc tickets to Gold AP and then use them again for your next trip (assuming not during black out), esp. if there is any chance you will go again with a year. There are varying reports as to what you pay to upgrade the DVC tickets. Otherwise, just use the 9 day tickets and use the other days for relaxing DTD, etc. I went for almost 2 weeks and 9 days in the parks was more than plenty.
you can add more than 1 ticket. I always check with guest services (at hotel or when leaving the park) to ensure correct ticket was used.

Thank you for the advice!

The dvc 25th anny tickets do not expire so we will just save those.

And yes, We might as well upgrade to a gold AP for $150, since we prefer to have the option to park hop. Plus we will be back in April (no black out dates then) and can just pop in for a day or two.

And I'll make sure to check with guest services before entering the park to make sure the 5 day hopper ticket is used first!!!

Very excited about our trip on 4 months.
