DXDDP 2 rooms

My family is traveling in December 2016 and getting 2 rooms. DH and I are planning to get the Deluxe DDP.
According to Disney, are we permitted to use our TS credits for other family members CONSISTENTLY? Is this now part of the "rules?"
We don't want to get to a particular restaurant and have them tell us it is not permitted there.
Also, can we do this for our entire 4 day stay? Our plan is to cover all TS meals for our adult children using this plan. We just want to know if it's truly a legal one that works every day at every restaurant.

In theory you can do this, however, in some restaurants you may not be able to. When we last gaveled as a large family group we had one room on the DxDDP and one on the DDP. We all ate together for the most part, and we were pretty good at using credits to make sure we all had what we wanted at any given meal. FOr instance, at CS meals or buffets, we tried to put those meal on the room with the DDP. If we were where there was appetizers we wanted, we tried to at least have enough people use the DxDDP so we could share the appetizers.

I woudl not try at Via Napoli, although you may be successful. Also any other non DIsney owned establishment may push back so go prepared to pay for some meals. ANything you can use on the plan is a bonus.

I imagine that they would.The only caveat I would add is that teh DxDDP allows for an appetizer, an entree and a dessert at TS restaurants, so as much as I enjoy DInsye Buffets and AYCTE meals, I would wap out at least one or two for a nice meal that allows for those options.

You should be okay at the places listed. It's not written into the rules that you can, but the phrasing not allowing it was removed.

This was excellent advice! We would now like to try Frontera Cocina and Homecoming and skip a couple buffets. How can we find out for sure if they will let us pay this way?
I've never been able to get the same answer from any two phone calls I've made to Disney when my question is remotely controversial. Your thoughts are appreciated!

You cannot get an answer if you call. At Disney owned restaurants you should be okay. At most non Disney owned restaurants you should be okay, but these restaurants may be a little more strict. At Frontera I have no idea. This is a new restaurant.

I suggest that you begin a new thread and ask if anyone has done this at the restaurants you want. AS I said. Disney owned restaurants should be okay, but the others we need some first hand experiences. WE were fine at every restaurant we went to, even down to using the little ones magic band when the two kid were the only ones from the the room.

I wanted to add that asking these questions on their own thread may get some up to date answers, and you can better plan. We went in with plenty of credits because we had ddp's for both rooms, and planned to pay OOP if need be. We never had an issue, and went to both Disney and non Disney owned restaurants. This experience is a year old though.

I took the advice and started a new thread! Hoping for some recent experiences at the new restaurants!! Thanks to all of you!
