I want to go back to Pop Century Resort! Spring Break Trip 2016! Trip Update 8/25/16

So sorry to hear about your recent run of rotten luck :( As they say, everything will be OK in the end and if it's not OK then it's not the end.... so stay strong and hang in there!!! Looking forward to hearing more about your Disney adventures :earsgirl:

All caught up now...cute pics in front of the castle! And the Splash Mountain pic is fun! Can't believe IASW was so packed! But some downtime at the resort sounds like the best remedy for a hot crowded afternoon!

Wow, life really threw you many curveballs...but it looks like you're hitting them out of the park! A new bigger car is always great!
I hope you feel better after your surgery! My sister had her gallbladder removed too and she's fine. She was in a lot of pain before though so it's a good thing she got it removed.
I'm glad you got to go on another WDW trip though! It sounds like it was exactly what you needed.
Can't wait for the rest of the updates!

March 30, 2016 – Part II: Magic Kingdom

No, you are not imagining things, this is an actual Trip update! Life seems to be getting back to normal (as normal as my household can be). Thank you all for sticking around! Now onto the update!

So…Mom, Ash and I took the bus over to MK. We were looking forward to spending some time together, just the 3 of us. We didn’t have to wait too long for the bus, and we were on our way. We attempted to take a selfie of the 3 of us but we were really struggling. Here is the best one out of the group:

We decided to head to Tomorrowland. We checked out one of mine and Mom’s favorites…Carousel of Progress. This is always a must do on my trips. It just screams Disney to me. J After we were through with COP we headed for another must do…PeopleMover!

I love this ride, and we caught it at such a great time…the sun was setting and I love just to sit back and enjoy the sights. Again a must do!

We made our way through Fantasyland after that and headed to the Haunted Mansion, but first we had to make a very important stop…Tangled Bathrooms!!! Only the best bathrooms in the world!! We rode HM, I let Mom and Ashley ride together and I had my own doom buggy all to myself.

Ashley wanted to do a bit of shopping so we checked out Memento Mori. I love checking out this store.

After we did our shopping at Memento Mori we headed over to It’s a Small World. This is one of my Mom’s favorites. The posted wait time was 20 minute. Unfortunately, that time was very wrong and the line was NOT moving and it was so hot and there was not any breeze. My Mom started to get a bit oozy so we decided to get out of line and head to Main Street.

We walked through the shops and Ashley found some more items that were must haves!

At that time we decided to call it a night because Mom and Ashley had a long drive ahead of them the next day. I know it doesn’t sound like we did a lot, but it was one of my favorite moments of the trip. The 3 of us don’t get to spend a lot of time together so when the opportunity presents itself, it just becomes very special. We made it back to Pop by 11pm. I said my good byes to my Mom and Sister and headed back to the room. Keith had gotten both kids fed, bathed and in bed…Good Daddy!

Thanks again for sticking around! :)

It really was a fun time with them. I would love to do a trip just the 3 of us at some point.

Yay! An update! Love that you got that time to just soak up the Disney atmosphere with your mom and sister. I was just mentioning on my trip report that the best parts of Disney are the little things, the not rushing around from ride to ride, when you get to stop and smell the Disney roses so to speak. I'm glad that you got those memories.

Yay, you're back :) Guess I shouldn't say that as I have virtually abandoned my newly started TR--teaching Kindergarten is always a rollercoaster, but this year I have 35 kiddos...we've been in school 8 days and it feels like an eternity!!!!

So glad you got to have this special time with your Mom and sister. Looks like you had a wonderful night together, and you hit my favs, so I call that a win :)

Our little family just loves the Carousel of Progress. This year my son (age 6) must have rode it at least 5 times over the course of 2 days .. LOL
