What better way to celebrate a 40th birthday than with a trip to Disney. Well my best friend for 37 years and I decided a trip together with both of our families is just the way to celebrate the big milestone for both of us. My birthday is in August, hers is in September, so we are going in October!

Here are our current plans. I would love input from you experts! We have not been to Disney since 2011 and much has changed. We are also adding a couple days at Universal for my HP obsessed 9 year old.

Players...

My family: me, DH, DD-9, and DS-7
BFF family: BFF, her husband, and her DD-4

Plans...

We will be driving for about 9 hours and arriving for our October 15-22 stay at POFQ. We have the dining plan and park hoppers.

Hoping to get some day of FP+ for the late afternoon since we have park hoppers we don't have to wait till 4:00 to get in to the MK. Planning on getting the most out of our tickets and staying late.

Not sure what to do with this day. We are only driving part of the way home so we don't need to leave until 5-ish. Our Universal tickets will actually be 3 day tickets so we could even go back there if we want to.

Looks like fun! I am also planning on celebrating my 40th (not the actual day, unfortunately) in WDW with my extended family! It's just going to be a few years yet. However it is going to be EPIC!!

When is your FP+ day? You must be getting fairly close...in a couple of weeks?

My FP+ day is August 16th! This will be a first for me. They were just using the kiosks on our last trip.

So, I'm currently most stressed about our Universal days because this is completely new to us. Nobody in our group has been. But as long as we get to experience some HP stuff my family will be happy. The other thing that is stressing me is DHS. That Jedi training sign up has me stressed for some reason.
