Sometimes.....you just gotta stop & smell the Sharpie! Sept./Oct. 2015 at AKL ~ Updated 9/25 pg 10

Yes, Pooh is such a long stand by wait and it was AJ's fave ride. So besides an arrival day pre-planned FP, we also ended up modifying at least one to it for another day. And I think we used an anytime FP on it too!

One of the other faves of his was Tomorrowland Speedway, so we rode it three times this trip also!

I don't do the teacups....too much spinning. I thought AJ might like to try it with my dad but he never did.

Whoo hoo to Seth for riding and enjoying Space Mountain. Glad we didn't see the Miles play set or I might've been in trouble....

Glad you guys got to ride on the train instead of criss cross the park. Another ride we missed that we'll need to remedy next trip!

Oh and besides IASW, I think Pirate's might be Will's fave. He loves to sing and dance to "Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me". Looking forward to the next update!

Why am I even writing this?

Thanks, Renee, for your reply. I'll reply to you later. :)

:(

I've finally gotten quite a few reading mine but it's taken awhile, And I read a lot of other TRs and comment so I think they read mine in return.

I'm reading!!!! Don't stop! lol. I'm taking my three boys for our first trip in September and I like reading TR from other moms with boys similar ages as mine!

His mouse costume in the play was adorable!
I can't get over how brave he is, Space Mountain scares me! I was so glad when my boys were big enough to ride without me! They also loved "driving" the cars when they were little! Looking forward to your next update!

So funny about wanting to hold on to Seth on Space Mountain, because I did the same thing to my oldest DS the first time he agreed to ride - and he was 10 :rotfl:I'm not even an overly nervous mom but something about not being able to see him just made me a little less comfortable. But you're right, touching their leg or shoulder - yeah, that'll hold them in!
And BTW he's 14 now and half way through RnRC I always just touch his leg for a second even though he's right next to me........

I'm still here!

I used to Love the Speedway when I was younger, heck, I still like it!! It's a cute ride.

How great that Seth Liked Space Mountain, His little grin in the ride pic tells that story! I like it, I don't always go on it but I will go if others are going.

Great trip report! Especially like the photo from Space Mountain. The faces/poses on all three of you are great.

Hi Dawn!

I've been off the boards for awhile. I was so happy to see a familiar trip report writer. I can't believe how big Seth is now and he's so brave. While I've been reading I kept thinking, it's almost as if this was his first trip since he's going to remember so much. It's nice for you too, to see him enjoying this so much. You were able to share so many great first time rides.

I know what you mean about the replies. I started a report a few days ago and I think I've gotten one reply, but that's okay. I'm writing it for me too so I don't forget.

Please keep writing because I'm really enjoying it!

Hi guys! Thanks for your replies - sorry for my little pity party. It's a tad frustrating to put time into this and then think no one is reading! But like some of you said, I'm writing this for me too. I wanted to let you know that I will be updating soon but not until next week. My sister will be flying in from Boston tomorrow and I'll be busy with her until Tuesday. She's flying in for my birthday (which is Monday).....the big thirty-ten. I'll let you figure that out! :teacher: Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Birthday early pixiedust::bday: Oh yeah, the big thirty-ten lol! That number doesn't look so bad to me now that I've already celebrated the big thirty-fifteen :scared1:

Enjoy the time with your sister, too  Mine moved to Georgia last year and I miss her terribly. I did go visit her for a couple days over July 4th weekend and it was great, but unfortunately I won't see her again until she comes up North for Christmas. I hope you guys have a wonderful time!

Happy early birthday!! Hope you are having a great bday weekend with your sister and family! :) I'll be the big thirty-thirteen on my bday in October. Oh and I'm not sure if you remember but my mom's bday is the day before yours on Sunday!

When in October is your bday? Chris is the 22nd. I need to know so I can send you that gift card ;)

So I’m still used to getting notifications when things are posted so following trip reports has been SUPER difficult for me, so I’m sorry I’ve sucked at following along, I’m starting from day 2 breakfast at 1900 and going from there! This may be a super long reply lol!

Omigosh, I LOVE the “new” Winnie the pooh movie! Seriously SO CUTE, and legitimately actually hilarious… I’ve always loved the 100 acre wood gang! They’ve been my faves since I was little. I haven’t done Cape May at all yet (kicking myself for that one!) I do really enjoy 1900 for the variety it has vs say, CP and such. Oh goodness, that interaction with the Hatter! SO FUN! In and out of there in an hour flat is AMAZING, we always end up waiting SO long because the cast is half face half fur and it takes AGES for Hatter to get around for us! Glad your timing was awesome!

Cute pics with Tink!! I feel like I was such a weird balance of talking to everyone I see and being the SHYEST kid on the planet, lol (also an only child here). Guess it depended on the day? Lol.

Those tattoos seem like an awesome idea! Gonna have to remember that when I have kids lol, I always had the name-tag sticker thing when I was little! Glad you found him!! Must have been terrifying moments! Yay for getting cast as Chip, so cute!!

Oh nooo not the stomach bug!! I have seriously been SO lucky in never having managed to catch it while at Disney, I can’t imagine the effect it would have on vacation!! I hope it doesn’t last long! And major trooper for him to stick it out!! Glad you got some fun times in, and cute pics with Buzz! Man, I STILL call it downtown Disney, probably always will lol. Oh that caprese sandwich LOOKS AMAZING!! I always get the holiday sandwich but I might have to switch that out now! Glad you guys took it easy that night!

Awe man, sorry about the no Epcot afternoon! Aweee! He looks so happy on the speeder bike! Right at home! I have to say, the pre show in both ToT & HM worry me (and small children) much more than the ride itself, esp over at Hm! Glad you made it to Sci Fi on time! I have to agree, the atmosphere beats the food anyday! Cute pics in the car!! UGH those boat rides legitimately KILL me, most of the time, I get off at the Swalphin and walk to Epcot, or vise versa, or just walk the whole way, but obviously with kids in tow that’s not always possible! I wish they had an express boat, even if there was only 1 or 2 running it’d make things easier!

Glad you made it on time!! Awe man, Darth Maul is legit terrifying, I’ve only met him once, and I knew the friend of his so there just were no boundaries and it was freaky lol, I could never imagine fighting him! Brave one you’ve got there! Love how the photopass pictures turned out!! Crappy that DH was still feeling not so great! But glad he stayed for a sleep in today!

Super cute theater pictures, love that the step sisters colors/hair looks like Rapunzel & mother gothel lol!

Looks like a great lunch! I love Bog, esp at lunch, the cupcakes are my favorite! I have to agree with the rose room, we’ve been put in their for dinner a few times and it’s just boring. OH my gosh, that is the cutest that he calls Elphaba Elsa, that’s so adorable and awesome!! I absolutely LOVE Idina! Her voice is seriously incredible! I love the pooh ride, but agree, I won’t wait more than 15 for it!

Wooooh! Sorry that was a novel and a half! And I promise to stay more on top of things now! I’m super excited to read more! Esp since we were living in Fl at that time and were usually off Fri/Sat, would be funny to turn up in the back of photos lol!!

Reader here. I am sure I read your other two reports from when Seth was younger as my daughter is around the same age. I don't think I ever commented as I am normally a total lurker.

Your trip has me terrified about ever trying AKL. My daughter loves animals so much, but my husband seriously loathes the bus. And of course, he has no interest in driving while we're at Disney. We're thinking of maybe doing a split stay but aren't sure how we want to work it. Those bus waits would make for one grumpy husband for me though :).

I can't believe how big Seth is!!! And I think your hair is more blonde than I remember? Either way, everyone looks great!

That strawberry cream cheese cupcake looks so good I can't wait to have one when we go to Be Our Guest in December :p

Sorry for the lack of update. I do have an excuse....a real one! As I told you, I was busy the weekend of July 15th because my sister was in town for my birthday. Well, I planned to get some pictures uploaded and an update done last week and then I did this....

Pretty, isn't it?? That was taken on Saturday, I believe. It's not as purple now but it doesn't feel great to type. So that's why there haven't been any updates. I'll probably get one done tomorrow or Thursday. And in case you'd like to know what I did to myself, I was closing the bathroom door behind me at work and my sleeve (I had on a sweater because they keep our office -10 degrees) got caught on the door handle, and it shut before I could move my hand. And we have these big, heavy wooden doors with concrete in the middle. It HURT! But so far I'm not gonna lose my nail so that's good.

So funny b/c my dad will ride pretty much anything but those teacups! He hates the spinning too. We missed the train on Seth's first trip and I could have shot myself for that b/c he loooooved trains as a baby. And he was only 13 months then. He would have loved it! Just a brain fart on our part! It happens. We managed to avoid IASW this trip....thank goodness. I cannot stand it. I know.....Disney blasphemy! I'll ride it if I have to but I'm certainly not gonna volunteer to do so!

I'm reading!!!! Don't stop! lol. I'm taking my three boys for our first trip in September and I like reading TR from other moms with boys similar ages as mine!

Thanks! Sorry for my pity party. Just wasn't seeing any responses. Thanks so much for reading!!!

I can't get over how brave he is, Space Mountain scares me! I was so glad when my boys were big enough to ride without me! They also loved "driving" the cars when they were little! Looking forward to your next update!

I was proud of him too. I think I was 7 the first time I rode it, but he's tall for his age and I was short for mine, so that makes sense.

So funny about wanting to hold on to Seth on Space Mountain, because I did the same thing to my oldest DS the first time he agreed to ride - and he was 10 :rotfl:I'm not even an overly nervous mom but something about not being able to see him just made me a little less comfortable. Yeah, that single seating is really not mom-friendly! Haha! I'd rather have him right next to me. Although it's not like I can do much if something happened, God forbid!

I'm still here!

I used to Love the Speedway when I was younger, heck, I still like it!! It's a cute ride.

How great that Seth Liked Space Mountain, His little grin in the ride pic tells that story! I like it, I don't always go on it but I will go if others are going.

Thanks so much for reading! Yeah, I was shocked he didn't get scared! Seemed to love it!

Great trip report! Especially like the photo from Space Mountain. The faces/poses on all three of you are great.

Thanks! And thanks so much for reading and posting! :)

Hi! So glad you found me! Yes, I agree about the first trip thing. He doesn't remember anything about his first 2 trips (age 13 months and 2.5 years) and with this one he remembers all of it and still talks about it today! It was so nice to take him on the "big kid" rides this time. I'l check out your TR when I'm back on tomorrow or Thursday working on my report! :)

Happy Birthday early pixiedust::bday: Oh yeah, the big thirty-ten lol! That number doesn't look so bad to me now that I've already celebrated the big thirty-fifteen :scared1:

Thanks! I'll post a few pics from our little birthday shindig in the next update.

Happy early birthday!! Hope you are having a great bday weekend with your sister and family! :) I'll be the big thirty-thirteen on my bday in October. Oh and I'm not sure if you remember but my mom's bday is the day before yours on Sunday!

Thanks! We had a good time last weekend. Tell your mom happy belated birthday!!!

No problem! I'm just glad you're reading. ;)

Glad your timing was awesome!

I love the Pooh movie too! I always tell people to watch it if they haven't already. So well done! The Hatter was the best character we've EVER had! And that's saying a lot.

Cute pics with Tink!! I feel like I was such a weird balance of talking to everyone I see and being the SHYEST kid on the planet, lol (also an only child here). Guess it depended on the day? Lol.

I think it really just depends on the person and their mood. Seth is an only child and will talk to anyone...ha! But there are times he can be shy too.

Those tattoos seem like an awesome idea! Gonna have to remember that when I have kids lol, I always had the name-tag sticker thing when I was little! Glad you found him!! Must have been terrifying moments! Yay for getting cast as Chip, so cute!!

Yep, they are great! I'm actually gonna put one on him tomorrow because he's going to a water park with his grandma. And I thought he was such a great Chip but I'm biased.

I had it on our December 2008 trip. But it only lasted like 1 day. I toughed it out and was fine. Skipped Wishes that night but felt tons better the next day. This thing Ray had lasted way longer than that and was just really strange! The caprese was good but next time I will go back to my favorite - the Hawaiian.

Awe man, sorry about the no Epcot afternoon! Aweee! He looks so happy on the speeder bike! Right at home! I wish they had an express boat, even if there was only 1 or 2 running it’d make things easier!

If we ever take the boat again I will get off and walk at that first stop. It has to save time!! An express boat is a brilliant idea!!!!

I was proud of Seth for not getting scared. He is a scary-looking guy to me and I'm 40! I can't imagine being 5 and fighting him!

Super cute theater pictures, love that the step sisters colors/hair looks like Rapunzel & mother gothel lol!

That's hilarious! We were calling Evey (the blonde) Marge Simpson b/c of her hair. But the other girl really does look like Mother Gothel!

I am a bit proud that he digs the Wicked soundtrack. Maybe some day he and I can go see it . :) I love Idina too. She's awesome.

Wooooh! Sorry that was a novel and a half! And I promise to stay more on top of things now! I’m super excited to read more! Esp since we were living in Fl at that time and were usually off Fri/Sat, would be funny to turn up in the back of photos lol!!

No worries! Thanks again fro reading!

Hi! And thanks so much for reading and commenting! Don't let the buses scare you away from AK. I think those were freak things. And from what I hear staying at Kidani is better for less of a wait on buses. Plus they drop off their first when you come back from the parks (except for Disney Springs route). Unless they've changed something, that's how it worked when we were there. A split stay might be good - do AK first and then another resort after and that way if he doesn't like the bus system at AK he will have something else to look forward to afterwards. Ray wants to stay at BLT next trip. We shall see!!!

Yes, my hair may be more blonde. It's been every color there is...ha! I'm keeping it lighter lately to help cover the grey!

That strawberry cream cheese cupcake looks so good I can't wait to have one when we go to Be Our Guest in December :p

It was super yummy!

Aaaahh!! It hurt ME just reading about what you did to your finger :faint: I hope it's feeling much better now and I hope you enjoyed your visit with your sister :goodvibes

Ouch, your poor finger, you're so lucky you didn't break it. I hope it heals quickly :)
