I will have two teen girls (18 and 17) coming to a park for 1 day. I don't know which park to recommend (having never been there) and what order they should tour. My 17 yo is a wdw commando veteran and knows how to use paper fp. The 18 yo is fluent in Japanese. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well Tokyo DisneySea is the only one in the world so perhaps that one?
I haven't been wdw so can't comment on the differences

I'd recommend DisneySea, since it's entirely "unique" and seems to attract an older crowd.

As for the "order". If they want to ride it, Toy Story Mania should be first priority (either get in line ASAP or Fast Pass). There shouldn't be too many issues getting on Tower of Terror and Journey, provided they're going on a weekday and not the weekend.

I think they're both old enough to be able to make those decisions for themselves. Maybe direct them to the website or at least a park map so they can do some pre-planning, but otherwise I'm sure they can figure it out for themselves.

I'll second Disney Sea. The park is entirely unique to Japan, and I think they'll both have a great time. Guest services should have English naps for the teen who isn't fluent, though if they have one Japanese speaker in the group, even that won't be necessary. I'd personally skip Toy Story Mania and go for Journey to the Center of the Earth or TOT fastpasses first. It's really just a great park to wonder, and shouldn't be any problem for them to ride everything in the park in one day.

Thank you. They decided to do Disney Sea. They will skip toy story and go to get fp at ToT first thing, then ride journey, 20000 leagues, then Indiana Jones (single rider), then ToT with fp, then aquatopia, then raging spirits.
I figure, all that came done before lunch if they're there at opening. They could do shows and explore in the afternoon. Does that make sense as a touring plan?

Definitely makes sense. And glad to see they're using single rider! I went with three friends a couple years ago, and we all managed to get on and off the ride in five minutes while standby was at 60 minutes. I believe Raging Spirits also has single rider, though I found it quite tame.

It makes sense to me. Although, they may want to do single rider Indiana Jones and then Raging Spirits. From memory, they're in the same "general" area of the park whereas Aquatopia is in another area. Of course, it will depend upon their return time for ToT. If they grab a Fast Pass first thing, their return time could be quite soon as Toy Story Mania is the most popular ride for Fast Passes for the local fans.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass it on.

Question regarding single rider, I would assume it is specifically for 1 rider only? (Look I know this sounds ridiculous but hear me out!) Some parks here have a single rider queue, but they sometimes take pairs as well. With kids I would think maybe not a good idea (aged 7 & 8)?

Just wanted to post that the girls had an amazing time at Disney Sea. They said the theming was amazing, aquatopia is a hundred times better after dark and the food was amazing. Oh, and wear sunscreen even when it's cloudy.
