Renting points - how many is realistic?

Not a DVC member - looking to possibly rent points (details removed..not allowed) and totally new to this whole concept. And if my parents come, we'd need two rooms, so 260 points. Is this an outrageously high number of points to expect someone to have to rent? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm trying to avoid reading hundreds of posts in hopes of getting a quick answer. Any and all input would be appreciated!

No it is not unreasonable. October - December can be a very busy DVC time so making that reservation at 11 months (so in november) would possibly be needed especially if you want 2 rooms. You should contact one of the DVC rental companies now just to talk and see what your options are. There is also a rent board on this forum, but seeing that you only have had one post I am not sure if they allow you access to view this forums rent board.

Agreed that it's not unreasonable. And both rooms would not have to come from the same owner although having the from the same makes it easier on your end.

The DVC owners can bank and borrow points to have a higher total available.

I've rented close to 600 points to someone for a GV. While 600 is a lot and not very common, 130 would very much be normal/reasonable.

We rented about 630 earlier this year for a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom for a long vacation for a bunch of family members.
