Questions about the Disneyland app/Spiderman

Hi,

I'm going in a couple of weeks and have been looking at Disneyland's iOS app to get an idea of wait times. Some questions:

1) Roughly how reliable is it? Some wait times don't seem right. Today seems like an especially crowded day at DLR, and both Mater's and Luigi's are showing 5 minute waits. Or are they rides really unpopular now?

2) The app shows that Spiderman and Captain America don't make appearances until the afternoon and evening. Is that right?

I think the app drops character meet and greet times after they've passed. For example, if you look up Minnie, she's only listed for 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm for today, but I'm pretty sure she was out in the morning and early afternoon (at least when I've been there, she's usually out throughout the day).

We have found the times to be fairly accurate. And the times we really doubted and started a phone timer when we walked in line, it turned out to be within a minute of correct. I love that app. Luigi's is a weird wait time tho....dd has waited for it twice and both times felt like it was longer than displayed, but we didn't time it either time.

Just did 5 days in the parks and found the app to be fairly accurate, it's the same as what's displayed at the ride entrance. Mater and Luigi's were always a short wait when we were there, not very popular.

Luigi's only counts the time until you get sorted to wait for your ride. But you then wait for a whole ride cycle, and everyone unloading and your group loading before the ride actually starts. If it's only 5 minutes until you're sorted, it could easily be another 5 until you're on the ride.

We found the app to be fairly accurate.

Not sure about Spidey... But I'd go early if available. The line is in full sun and CRAWLS! It was three switch backs full when we got in it in early June. DH waited with my son while DD and I sorta hung to the side- and met the Zootopia clan and Anna and Elsa all before they got the front. The pictures are awesome and they spent a decent amount of time with my son.... But a 90 minute character line is brutal! We walked by after Frozen around maybe 5:30 and it was just as long.
