You want to carry the cups? No problem, they will SELL you the handles, at a reasonable price of course.
Interesting. I'd much rather have the handle than no handle makes carrying multiple mugs easier. I'm usually a mug refill runner for my family so I'll have 5 at a time. It's hard to carry than many without a handle.
Though they may fit better into cup holders now in stroller consoles, etc
The new mugs should now be stackable and better for cabinet storage. They should fit in a side pocket on a backpack, too.
I would imagine just as many people complain about the handles being there as not having handles any more. The handles do take up more room as stated, but easier to carry for others. Personally I like them without the handles. The old ones take up way too much room at home, and I can't fit them -- thus I don't want to keep "collecting" them. So one could argue this from both sides. I doubt it is a money saving measure - while people will complain it is, I bet it is really just how you look at the world -- will suit some better while annoying others. Making both types is actually a lot more expensive and not something businesses tend to do, especially the size of Disney. In the grand scheme of things it is not worth it to Disney to supply both. When you factor in that it will take up less room at each location it is sold, it probably became a no brainer.ahhh...
side pocket size - check
stackable to carry multiple - check
crisis averted (at least for me )

Can you nest them? I mean slide one into the other? Can't do that with the handled ones. They were purchased at Saratoga and when asked about the lack of handle, the CM said these are the new mugs.
I love this attachable/removable handle idea..could use different colors to individualize cups!More penny pinching. Less plastic and more money.
Here's the solution if you need a handle, though I'd probably glue it on somehow.

I'll be bringing my old mugs with a handle to use in the parks.

Im right there with you.Totally agree with this - I would say that I actually wouldn't bother to pay for the mugs if there is no handle. I know that sounds overly petty - but we mostly drink lemonade anyways - not big soda people. I would just bring containers that are more convenient and use water and mix-ins.

I mostly used the mugs for hot coffee and tea. I'll have to haul out our last ones to see how hot they are to hold without the handle. If they get too hot, I guess I won't be getting the new cups.
Not quite sure if changing a 10 year old ride truly counts as "ruining history". Also not quite sure a 10 year old ride needed changing in the first place, but that's neither here nor there.
