PTN ending in September

Yup, I know all that. And I tried to book the dates, and ever single one from the 8th to the 11th is "unavailable" when you try to book it.

I thought the same thing for the week I'm there 5th-9th but rather than search dining, I had to go to the dining package page and then search times from the selected one I want and it worked

That's because it just opened yesterday. In fact, I ended up having to call (we have a baby to add), and even the cast member on the phone didn't think it would be available yet and was surprised when it let her book it.

Well I guess just in case it's gone, i need to really make sure we see it when we are there Labor Day weekend.

Does any one know what, if any, fireworks will be shown in September after the 60th ends but before the Halloween parties start? We will be there Monday through Friday.

Thank you!

No one knows for sure yet, but it sounds like the Disneyland Forever fireworks are going away and Fantasy In The Sky is coming back. My guess is it will go back to fireworks only on the weekends until the holidays. But like I said, no one knows for sure!

Bummer........ maybe

Well, I told myself I would be happy just to have Paint the Night so I guess I'll be greatful for that!

People are reporting that they have been able to book PTN dinner packages through Sept 16th now. I think it just opened up yesterday.

I suppose that doesn't mean for sure it's happening but it probably does.

I'm holding out hope!

I checked and the PTN dinner packages only go through the 5th. WOC can be booked everyday, which I think people may be talking about. I keep checking as I will be there the 8-11, but still as of just now, nothing past the 5th.

I'm beginning to lose hope for PTN in September as well. The only thing keeping me going is that it's currently not possible to book the Frozen Pre-Show or Frozen Pre-Show plus Lunch after September 5. They have GOT to be continuing the Frozen packages after Sept. 5. Once the Frozen packages come up and the PTN packages don't, then that's the death knell for PTN. But until the Frozen packages come up, I'm holding out hope for PTN.

Darn. I guess I missed the post bringing up WoC instead of PTN.

We hadn't planned on seeing WoC but maybe we will end up doing the dining package or something. I imagine it will be crazy at WoC if they don't have anything happening at DL.

At this point I just want them to post something so we can plan our trip and budget accordingly.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion tlovesdis!

I know the feeling. I'm trying to budget for November. I know I won't see anything about November specifically for a couple more months, but I would like to know if PTN will be around since this post has me questioning myself now. Even though I don't think it will disappear entirely, they could take it down for repairs or something. My son really wants to see it again, but last time, we had to wait 4 hours to get a decent spot. I'm hoping they still have the dinner package for seating so we don't have to play that game. He'll be so disappointed if the parade isn't running anymore. And if it's not running, we will have extra money to allocate other places. I don't much care either way, but I really want to know what Disney's plan is.

I had an Aladdin PTN package booked on 9/6 somehow. I got a call today asking me to move the reservation because they weren't offering it that day. Sounds like bad news for the chances of PTN continuing past 9/5.

Very bad news indeed. :(

Has this been announced anywhere yet? I have seen a few people mention it today.

Just wanted to share some parade news/rumors posted elsewhere (Reddit, if you are familiar) by someone who claims to be a parade performer:

"Hey there! Just wanted to share some news from my department with what will be happening to parades these upcoming months and early next year.

Paint the night: With the diamond anniversary ending, on September 7th Paint the Night will be going down to make room for Halloween and Christmas parades. It will come back later November and then leave again on January 7th to finish off the holiday season. Sadly it will not be back until Summer, it will be just a seasonal parade now.

Pixar Play Parade: Starting October (I forget the date), pixar will be going down until further notice. (I predict it won't come back up.)"

If true this is extremely disappointing. I am finding more and more that the international parks are becoming far more 'Disney' and far more interesting with a larger array of entertainment than the original two US resorts.
