Has a dcp character performer ever been a face character?

I've been wondering about this for a while now. How often are dcp participants face characters? Is it uncommon for a dcp to be a face character? And is it hard?

I believe they can. You do have to audition, and meet the tougher physical requirements.

I have known a few people that were on the DCP and were face characters. They were friends with the princesses - snow white, ariel and belle!

It is possible but relatively difficult. From my friends who have been in Entertainment as character performers, Disney will usually start you on fur only first. They have maybe one or two face character auditions a year that are open to CPs. (Most aren't open to them for various union reasons, IIRC.) They mostly only look for a few specific characters at a time based on need and don't always tell you what they are looking for. And if you get picked to do face, you'll still have to do fur part of the time too in almost every case - so if you want to become a face character but don't want to do fur at all please keep that in mind.

That being said, I've known a few CP face characters. One of my roommates from my first CP had a friend she worked with quite a bit who became friends with Mulan. I've also met a few CP friends of Tinkerbell as well. I've even met people who've gotten picked to be parade dancers!

Wow that's so cool! Did you notice anything about those people who were cp's and face characters? Were they like really pretty?

Not really anything in particular - it's pretty much all decided by height and face structure. I think stuff like eye color is a factor too. And I suppose they were all pretty, though I honestly find a lot of people pretty so I may not be the best judge of that :P

I worked closely with a DCP face character on my program. She was the best face character actress ever.

It is very very hard DCP or not. You don't have to just look like the character you have to match the profile of all the other people playing the same role. They are not easy positions to get.

The height requirements are pretty rigid for characters.

I follow a girl on YouTube (ashlyninwonderland) and Instagram (littlepixiegirl) who was a DCP face character. She has never said who she was friends with (as she would still like to work for Disney) but was definitely face.
