Boardwalk?

That clown slide is AWESOME! How could anyone not love it? Sure, bunnies and puppy dogs are nice sometimes, but we need gorillas, gators, and psychedelic clowns to balance it out sometimes too. There's a reason that this world has them all. ;)
Doing a split stay in October, BCV(already have stayed) , but first stay at BWV, EXCITED!::yes::

We own at BW. We are big walkers. So another plus for us is using the monorail home from MK to Epcot and walking through future world home. Maybe getting some drinks and dessert in world showcase on the way.

For overall ambiance I do like SAB more than the clown pool but I like the quiet nature, hot tub, restrooms and community hall that are all right at the BWV quiet pool.
I was going to post something similar but you beat me to it. SAB is vast and the ambiance is great there but what we usually want to do at the pool is swim around a bit and then relax on a lounge chair for a while. The quiet pool at BWV is perfect for that.

I bought at BWV after about 30 on site stays including several at BWI and 2 studios stays. I didn't however love my villa stay there in a BW view 2BR with my family of 5. Our view wasn't great and we had a very disruptive water leak problem. I also didn't love layout compared to other villas. I have been able to use my points at VGF & BLT which I loved and studio at PVB (was ok) and have paid cash at OKW & AKV. I paid a great price for BWV so not disappointed that I bought there. My kids are getting older so I think many future trips will be without kids and I'll be quite happy in a BWV studio.

I might be the odd man out, but I found SAB "anticipointing." It's a big pool with some sand. It's not a "mini waterpark" or whatever it is that people call it. I suspect that part of its popularity is that it's so obviously exclusive.
To me it's nice but not that nice. It's certainly not dramatic enough to drive resort choice or to miss if not there. I think they should have gone that route with SSR and made a mini waterpark there as well as having lake homes.

I like that idea quite a bit, Dean.

Think about how much more fun it would make Saratoga Disney Springs!

I realize there are many possible choices and a lot of variables for such issues including cost, anticipate sales rates and end return. I do feel like they missed obvious opportunities at SSR & Poly but then again it's not my money unless I chose to play in a given sandbox. I think there would have been challenges for a more robust pool there working within the existing infrastructure but I think it would have been worth it and that it would have had a return on investment from Disney's side as well. The lake homes or golf homes would have affected the options otherwise and is a less obvious option in terms of return on investment but I think it could have been workable there as well. The other thing I think they could and likely should have done is under building parking. Combined with the lake homes, they could have done both the current volume and the lake homes I suspect because of the smaller footprint.

We disliked SAB during our stay - including my two kids - and hopped over to BW.

My kids thought the BWV slide was better.
I prefer the BWV sight lines (although they are now both driving and I wouldn't care any longer)
I hated walking through the Y&BC lobby in my swim coverup and flip flops to get to the pool.

That's ok - one less person to fight for a chair with. :D

To each their own :)

Yep, in addition we discovered we didn't love BCVs - not just the pool - but the way the resort was laid out - the detachment of the Villas from the hotel (strange, because I like that about VWL), the decor (which has changed) the view from the road and the bus noise from our balcony. I know lots of people love it - so my lack of interest in revisiting makes people happy on more than just the beach chairs.

(I did love the sunroom and the other quiet public areas)

Just one obs re BWV it's a nice resort but I totally agree with others I would not now buy at a resort where it is possible to try but I haven't. The parking is not good there if you drive. Also I prefer the BCV because ( this may not apply to you ) I am disabled and find BWV quite difficult to get around. Beach Club for me is more accessible.

SAB I was so excited by from what others had said. I was still looking for it and said to my wife no surely that can't be it? Lol. I put it down with the dole whip. I must be the only one who is like meh... :flower1:

BCV parking isn't a whole lot better than BWV, unfortunately. It's a little closer, but still inadequate (partially due to BCV being built where the valet lot used to be). Hopefully they'll work on keeping people out who aren't staying or dining there, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

SAB is by far the best option on Disney property, but it's certainly not the biggest or "best pool ever" or anything like that. I think Disney set the bar so low with the small pools everywhere else that it seems bigger than it is. I enjoyed the lazy river at the Hilton Orlando convention center a lot more than the one in SAB! The Hilton pool even had ice water and cups available at all times which I thought was a nice touch, too.

I think I was spoilt in Wadi Wadi in Dubai now that's a lazy river!
