I posted earlier and can't find it. Oops!

The Army finally sent us our orders so I have to modify my September trip. I got September 28-October 1 and October 2-7. I need October 1. If anyone plans to drop it will you please give me a heads up? Thanks!!

Ugh. Don't tell.me that! :scared:I'm hoping to pick it up eventually.

I was hoping the same, but it finally just kept getting later and later. We just booked what we have now (2-7th when we get on the DCL) and will just extend our beach stay in St. Augustine if nothing opens up and then after the cruise use our last park ticket day :)

1) If you can't find one, stay the night at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida.
2) Not that far from Disney, AND CHEAP.

Thanks Rusty. However, October 1 is in the middle of our stay. I'd hate to pack up and move for one night and come back. I'm going to keep trying!!

When we made ressies for last October, I decided I wanted to stay a few extra nights. I kept calling and calling and nothing was available, either at the front or the end of our stay. Then about 2 wks. before our arrival I called and was able to add on night at the beginning and 2 at the end of our stay. Persistence is the key, keep trying, never give up.

This is what I have been doing, just calling all day and checking the website non stop!

Persistence will pay off. As things get down to the wire, other folks may be cancelling their reservations. Particularly as they get closer to the 30 day mark. Folks frequently (and sadly) make reservations with no intention of staying so they can do their Fast Passes 60 days out, once they hit the 30 day mark, they don't need to be a guest, so they cancel their reservations.

Shameless bump. I've checked twice a day. I'm getting nervous. Due to our Orders 9/27- 10/6 is the best time and can't get 10/1! I don't want to remove camp, go to a hotel, and setup all over again a day later. Ahhh!!

We've been checking two times a day from home and my husband calls every day from work. It's not looking good, I think a lot of it is because of that promo with 10/1 being the last day to book. All could have booked 10/1 and extended their stay from there to get the deal. We haven't booked anywhere else in hopes of it popping up.

Oh I missed the promo entirely. Well that's bad luck!

Is there a way you can do a split stay? Pick a resort (maybe a value resort?) for the first part of your stay and then check into the Fort on the 2nd?

Finally ended up getting it, but it's because I got an AWESOME reservation lady! She couldn't see anything available and I told her that the website was the same way and I had been trying FOREVER. She then told me she had one more idea and asked me to hold. It took about 20 minutes but she finally did it when she came back on the line!!! She said she called the front desk at the Fort and asked them what they could see in their inventory and then had THEM add the night to my reservation no problem! She then had me log out and back in of my Disney experience app and make sure that it all looked right and it was perfect!

Awesome.....

I know when we went to the Fort in August, we ended up getting there a day ahead of schedule. We called the FORT (Directly, not the reservations) to see if they had an opening for us for the extra day. They did and it all worked out.

I am guessing the Fort always has SOME sites for the "Emergency" that they can work with, you just need to get to the right CM to help you out.
