Last month I switched to sapphire falls from cabana for dining credit offer..now after having read reviews I am regretting my decision. Should I try and switch back to cabana?? Any thoughts appreciated..our stay is for next month

I would stick with Saphire Falls. I was at Cabana Bay and I have no complaints but:

-nice new pool
-dinning credit
-walkable and or boat while Cabana Bay is a little to far to walk and you have to take a bus which brings you to the parking lot where everyone els is coming from.
-ignore the reviews. It's the first few days.

Oh geez. The hotel has only been open a couple of weeks. There are bound to be some issues. Also remember that things that you read on tripadvisor aren't always true. I've seen that in a few reports already. There is one about not being allowed to bring food and drinks into the hotel and that is totally untrue.

I saw that review.

His whole review was an obviously biased agend against the place to begin with, I didn't believe a word of anything he wrote.

Gregsbrat........The dining credit sounds quite decent, what is it that's putting you off SF? If it's just the reviews on TA I wouldn't let that influence my decision. Most reviews I've heard have been positive.......

I'm having the same conundrum, but will be sticking with Sapphire since 1) I'm getting the exact same price at both hotels with the AP discount, 2) the boats, 3) it's new. If I don't enjoy my stay then I just won't stay there again. I get too wrapped up in reviews all the time, and find I will sometimes have completely different opinions. The only time I felt reviews were actually on point was when I ate at Hollywood and Vine at DHS, the food was not horrible but definitely not good. Even a hotel that had miserable reviews I found to be better than I expected. I mean the hotel wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
