Who's heading to the USA in Sep/Oct this year?

So jealous of all of you! Minimal local travel only this year for us but looking forward to reading all your trip reports so I can pretend we were there!! Sounds like lots of west coast fun.
I've been uploading photos to Flickr since December with all intentions of doing a trip report for our Nov/Dec 2015 trip.....still getting to it lol

My mum and I are heading over for a big trip!

14/9 - Fly Melbourne to LA. Staying 2 nights at the Doubletree Commerce, which is right next door to the Citadel Outlets as we are mainly there to shop (and break up the flight).
15/9 - Universal Studios Hollywood (i.e. Harry Potter!)
16/9-17/9 - Red eye flight from LA to Washington DC. Staying at the Washington Hilton.
19/9 - Train from DC to NYC. Staying in our old favourite the Hotel Edison. So far have tickets to Waitress and, of course, Hamilton (we booked last year - before our flights!). We did have Shuffle Along too but it's closing early, sadly.
29/9 - Fly from NYC to San Francisco. Staying at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Have tickets to the first preview of Hedwig and the Angry Inch with Darren Criss.
3/10 - Fly San Francisco to Maui. We were originally flying via LA as it was cheaper, but they changed our flights totally and I just found out will put us on the direct flight instead! Staying at the Royal Lahaina.
9/10 - Fly Maui to Honolulu. Staying at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. On 10/10 we plan to do an island tour that includes Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation, etc.
11/10 - Fly Honolulu to Melbourne (business class...Jetstar business class that is lol!).
12/10 - Arrive home
13/10 - Back to reality and back to work!

You'll note, no Disney on this trip! As we're only 25 minutes away we are tempted to head out there one evening and go to Downtown Disney - but it would be so hard to be that close and not go in! My sister is applying for the Disney International Program, so hopefully there will be a short trip to Orlando on the cards for next year!

We're heading over in August, but we'll be there for most of September
23/8 - MEL to MCO - no firm plans
27/8 - DCL Fantasy Eastern Caribbean
3/9 - Cape Canaveral - Kennedy Space Centre
5/9 - Universal Studios Florida (onsite for 4 nights). DH and 2 of the 3 kids are doing Discovery Cove on one of these days and my eldest (Harry Potter mad) DD and I are having another day at Universal.
9/9 - WDW off site - we have 10 passes, but 14 days there. We're staying at the Wyndam Bonnet Creek. We've booked a MNSSHP in there too.
24/9 - Fly home

I've really got to start getting things organised, four more weekends before we leave and my daughters have 4 weekends full of dancing comps. At least I have the day before we leave off work, so that I can do some last minute packing and arrangements.

Karen, we will be in some of the same places as you, but on different days in Oct ( Bryce Canyon on 13th, Monument Valley on the 14th)
However are staying at the Grand Canyon on 26th and 27th, so will be there the same time as you!

Wow! What a small word it is! :thumbsup2 Have you booked any accomodation yet?

Hi, yes all our accommodation has been booked for some time. Bryce Canyon Lodge (Sunset/Sunrise room), The View Hotel at Monument Valley and Kachina Lodge at the Grand Canyon ( we have stayed at the El Tovar before but saving a bit of money by trying Kachina this time)

Very nice! I think we're both going to have great trips!

We are hopefully heading over october too.
We were actually supposed to go last September but 5 days before we were due to fly out i was diagnosed with cancer:( The trip that took 2 years to plan was then cancelled in 1 day.
Anyway we have re-planned the trip for October now that i have finished treatment. However we haven't told anyone yet....sounds silly but im worried if i say too much and get too excited ill jinx us and something will happen again. Not even our kids know its been replanned yet! Not planning on telling them until the day before we fly out just incase, couldn't bare to cancel another trip on them.
Its our first dinsey anything!
Plan is as follows
Oct 5th fly to san fran via sydney
oct7th drive to yosemite
oct 9th drive to monterry
oct 10th drive to opismo beach
oct 11 drive to LA
oct 14th drive to disneyland
oct 20th fly to orlando then drive to port canaveral
oct 22 disney easter carribean cruise
oct 29th legoland
oct 31 orlando
nov 3 fly to san fran
nov 4th fly home

Only fully refunadable things have been booked, flghts, and accommodation. Although still need to bok legoland accommodation and internal flight from orlando back to san fran. Ill do tickets when its a little closer just incase.

Our BIG TRIP is finally here - well almost :)

We have a month in the US, leaving on Sept 9 and returning on Oct 9.

Universal Orlando, KSC, WDW, Disney Fantasy, Disneyland and then up to San Francisco. I've been planning and saving for this trip since before I was pregnant with my eldest... he's now 9 :) ADRs and FP+s are booked and quite honestly I don't see myself going back to WDW for a long time - if ever. It's just too much work. How on earth do I know which rides I'm going to want to go on two month in advance? Or what meals I'll want SIX months in advance?

We are all booked, 32 sleeps to go!

I ended up booking the Hyatt Place in Waikiki for our first night, and instead of staying in Needles on our way to the Grand Canyon we decided to drive a bit further to Kingman and we're staying at the Best Western Plus Kings Inn & Suites.

Now we wait......:smooth:

Heading to Aulani in October. Fly out of Melbourne on the 18th and leave on the 27th and then spend 1 night in Waikiki and fly home on the 28th. Cant wait

Hope you dont mind me joining in! :)

We head off soon. Me, my DH and 9 year old DD.

We are leaving Sydney 21 Sept and back on 8 Oct.

We are in Anaheim for 16 nights. We have annual passes so are good to go :) We plan on going to universal on the 26th to check out Harry Potter!

Getting excited :)

We stayed at Hyatt Place Waikiki in April 2014 and were very satisfied with it. Hope you will find the same!

@Ihaveamickeymousekid - please join in - the more the merrier!

18 sleeps for us

Haven't booked anything for Las Vegas yet (except accommodation) and still have a few tours/tickets to book for LA.
So excited, an extra bonus is that friends of ours are also going to the US during the September school holidays and it turns out will be at Disneyland for some of the same days as us:yay: Don't tell the DDs - its a surprise!
