I have obviously missed this somewhere, but has it been confirmed that adults are OK to be in costume for the parties? I have a friend who is asking whether I know for sure one way or the other.

from the Disneyland Halloween time press release:
Adults and children are encouraged to dress in costume for the party as they trick-or-treat throughout Disneyland for a scary good time. Guests may check www.Disneyland.com for Mickey’s Halloween Party costume policy guidelines prior to their arrival.

To me that means wear a costume but make sure capes are short, accessories are approved and no masks. If I'm wrong...well then I'll be returning to my room to change.

I'm waiting until the first to buy my ticket and pick the day we will go. We are local so we have a few options. Exciting to see everyone get their tickets. I waited until September 1st last year and then the party tickets were gone I wanted so I learned my lesson.

They are not combining the Happiest Haunts Tour with MHP for the "Ultimate Experience" this year. I was told that tour starts at 10:00am or 11:00am and you have to have regular park admission that day to attend. But you do get 15% discount if you are a Disney Visa card holder.

Good thing they're not doing the ultimate experience again. It was way too much when I did a few years ago, one thing a day spreads out the joy ;-) Not to mentioning is less stressful. I'm surprised at the earliness of the times. 10 and 11 is quite early in the day and definitely still sunny out. I know they change things up a little every year but you would think a Halloween tour would be creepier at dusk? It should be interesting to find out how it goes.

I was on hold for 90 minutes (the music loops at the 50 minute mark, by the way). 16 must have been a breeze!

90 minutes!! You win the award for patience - I couldn't have done that. As it was I was glad it was short because I was trying to call between student appointments so I only had about 25 minutes and then I would have had to hang up and try later. Dang students - don't they know Disney comes first?!? :) (I'm joking, of course)

Just ordered online this morning, how long has it taken others to receive their email w/ the tickets? Nothing yet and it has been 7 hours

Do you have a copy of your confirmation? As long as you have that, you will be fine. Last year there were some significant delays in receiving email tickets, so this isn't anything new. My transaction didn't go through and my email was delayed by several hours, but everything came through in the end. If you don't receive anything by tomorrow, try calling Disney.

So... the first party I'll go to will be before I"m an AP holder. The second party I will be an AP holder. I'm sure I can't get a retro discount on the MHP tickets, and I"m okay with that, but will I still be able to hit the AP ToT trails and other AP treats for the second party if I show my AP?

And I'm going to do the Happy Haunts Tour, but because it sells out so quickly, I need to buy it as soon as I can, but I'll be going on it after I'm an AP holder. I won't get a retro discount on it after I'm an AP holder, will I?

Just hoping I guess. I'm still going to do all the parties and the tour, but it sure would be nice to save a bit of money.

No retroactive discounts, I'm afraid. But it does sound like you're going to have a really fun trip!

Wanted to buy my sister some tickets as a gift. We are AP holders she is not. Can I buy now or do I need to wait until released to the public?

I'm going to get my tickets for October 26th next Thursday. I'm going to wait until sometime in August to get a ticket for me second party Sept 26th. I hope that is like has it been for the last few years that the second party dose not sell out. I will ask a friend of mine if she can go to next time I see her.

We are in for 3 for the party on October 14th! This is our first time going to Disneyland at Halloween time!

Sorry if this has been asked in the previous pages (I have had a look!), but what time (PDT) on Thursday 28th do tickets for the general public go on sale on?

Thank you :)

Tickets for APs went on sale at midnight Pacific time on 7/21, so it's likely that the ticket site will open for the general public at midnight on 7/28.

Just bought my MHP ticket for 10/17!!!! 6th year in a row!!!! Something upsetting happened on the phone with the CM, though. I mentioned I had made my own costume and she said something about "bounding" (Disneybounding). She was sounding kind of wishy-washy about what the rules are and making it sound as if there was a different costume policy than the one that is posted right on the Disney website! Like she was suggesting I Disneybound rather than wear the garb I spent five weeks and over $150 sewing (and it's super-cute too...look for Steampunk Mary Poppins if you're there on 10/17!).

Now I've been to MHP for the last 5 years and wore a costume each time. Each year (including this one) I had checked the guidelines on the website beforehand, especially because every time except once I sewed my own costume and wanted to make sure I wouldn't be turned away at the gate. So this was alarming and annoying, especially after questioning her and determining that yes, the web info is correct. I don't know why they'd tell you something different from what the web says. If it's anything to do with wanting to do away with costumes, well - they're not gone yet and until then, giving a guest conflicting info is just irritating. I don't want to pack it in a suitcase and cart it all the way to Anaheim only to be turned away at the park gate.

My thought (purely conjecture on my part) is that they will have to spend extra time screening guests in costumes. They will do that, but want to discourage as many guests as possible from dressing up to minimize the manpower and time needed for the additional screenings. I don't think they have any intention of turning people away at the gate.

I would be unhappy to have the CM tell me that one the phone too.
