I'm considering booking Lilo's Playhouse for my 7 year old son one evening so my Mom and I can enjoy Trader Sam's. He went to Simba's Cubhouse at AKL last year and loved it. Does Lilo's tend to book up early or is this something I can wait on? We will be there in 34 days :) Anybody have any reviews of their experiences with Lilo's? Thanks!

I'm not the OP, but SWA was experiencing computer glitches Friday, which caused big back ups and long waits at Midway to check in/check luggage. Not sure if that was still the problem yesterday, but the pics on the news Friday morning showed horrendous lines. The curbside check in lines were very long, but inside was much worse, which they said had a 2-3 hour wait time :faint: (and that was just to check in, not security).

Oh, good point! I didn't put 2 & 2 together, lol. That makes total sense. Thanks! :teeth:

Quick question, I've never stayed at the Poly and am heading down next month:) I have a TPV CL level room booked but am wondering if I should save the money and get a GV CL room, or is the TPV worth the extra splurge? I am also wondering if you hear the boats from the TPV rooms as they face the lagoon?

"Go big or go home." Those TPVs are amazing.
You can hear the boats but I find it pleasant. I know I've read some complaints about the noise before from people staying in the DVC villas which are closer to the TTC, where the ferries come and go from...

I used to use it when it was Neverland Club. I'm sure you can wait but I wouldn't wait until the very last minute. Maybe 48 hours ahead to be a bit more safe.

The theme park view from the Poly is really, really nice. We stayed in CL with rooms on that side a few times and really liked how we could see the castle changing color all night (when I woke up in the middle of the night it was still so pretty). We could hear the boats, but they weren't loud and we loved it. Also loved watching Wishes from our balcony, munching on a few desserts we grabbed from the lounge. Love Poly CL. :cloudnine: That said, you can see the view from the lounge if you stay GV.

Glad you're enjoying your trip so far and happy birthday! :bday:
We're flying out of Midway next month. Was it the security lines that were so crazy? Just wondering what we may be in for. I'm anticipating crazy, but hoping for something better!
It took 1.5 hours to get our bags checked. I can't even begin to explain how long the line was. We flew Southwest. I think they were still struggling after their computer glitch on Wednesday, but we flew out on Friday. The biggest issue was the lack of communication from Southwest. TSA was a breeze. We were done in about 5 minutes. We got to the airport about 2 hours and 15 minutes ahead of time. We got through TSA 10 minutes before boarding.

Thanks for the advice! Can you hear the music from Wishes in your room or is that only in the lounge where they pipe in the music?

You're welcome! Crazy how messed up everything got .

I think the boat horns are pleasant, too. I love hearing them any time of day, but especially in the early morning or later at night. It's just very relaxing/calming to me :goodvibes.

Reading posts like this is making me want to book TPV CL when we go back :cloud9:.

Would guess that a lot of dole whip is being sold during this crazy hot weather!

I agree ::yes::.

I saw the pics on the 5 am news Friday and those lines were crazy . Glad security went fast and that you didn't stand in line for 2-3 hours to check your bags :).

I've stayed both, actually in a TPV room right now. This is my view, which frankly doesn't do it justice. My panorama photo is too large to post, otherwise I would. Yes, you can hear the boat horns faintly, but like others have posted we actually like it. DS loves those darn horns! And yes, you can hear the Wishers music very clearly on your balcony. Comes through the speakers on the ground/walkway outside that otherwise are playing faint Polynesian themed music during the day.

Awesome view! Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you are enjoying your trip.

Thank you for posting those!!! I'm on my way down to Poly right now...although we're driving because we have to visit FSU tomorrow so it will take a while longer. I guess I can't complain since the FSU visit is the reason I get to go back so soon;). But I can't wait to get there!!

woohoo! Have a great time. Hope you'll be posting LIVE :moped:

Thanks for the photo!

Sorry if this has been reported already. There was recent discussion about power outlets at Poly and people bringing power strips. I checked in yesterday and my room has a new clock on the bed stand with two USB ports - see below. Nice upgrade from the old school iPod clock things they had before.

Edit, to clarify, I'm in club level, Hawaii building. Sounds like these clocks aren't in all the rooms (yet?).
