Nervous about fitting...

Let me start by saying - I'm fat. Not huge, but chubby. I'm 5'4", about a size 18/20 bottom, but only a size 14/16 top...I carry most of my weight in my butt and thighs. My DBF is 6'2", and a 44" waist, XL/XXL top.

I've read all about the un-fat-friendly seating on rides at Universal. I LOVE coasters, and was very much looking forward to all the rides there...but the more I read, the more nervous I get. I know they have tester seats at the park, and I'll use them, but...I'm hoping people who are similar in size to me might be able to reassure me.

there are a lot of chubby and larger sized peeps that do the rides...

back row for mummy and gringotts are for larger peeps.

i don't do all the coasters but do those above and have seen short large peeps get on the rides and have no issue with them.

when you see a tester seat, go sit in it and see how it is for you.
have your dbf pretend to use his phone or camera of you in the seat.

everyone will think that he is just taking your picture and you are really testing out the seat if it will work for you.

Your bf is similar size to me. A few rides might be close, but I think he will fit on everything.

i've gone up and down with my weight from chubby to fat to chubby and sometimes i get in the normal range.
some years on the hulk, i would get the modified seats.
and that helped me a lot.

there is another thread still active that started about 3 years back and still peeps are posting on it.

size restrictions on Universal rides - annoying

read thru that one and see if it helps you at all.

I'm a similar size female and have found that the ride attendants are very kind. They will discreetly guide you to the best seat if there is any concern that you may be uncomfortable in the standard seat but I have never had any issues. Don't worry! :flower:

I fit in the HRRR test seat no problem, but when I tried to ride I had to get off because the mandatory final click made it hard for me to breathe. I rode FJ once no problem, next time I was removed. Rode mummy three times fine, then I couldn't click enough, moved me to back row and they let me go. I'm 6'2, 310. I've never had an issue with any ride at Disney and have done them all.
