2 broken ankles and Typhoon Lagoon?

So I fell down our stairs at home yesterday and now have 2 broken ankles, right has 2 breaks, left 1. Laying here with 2 aircasts on reading about ecv's etc. at Disney because our trip starts in 2 weeks. All the info is great and very helpful. One of our days we planned to do Typhoon Lagoon - I'm not really a waterpark person to begin with, the kids really want to go as we've never done it, I had just planned on splashing around the pool anyway, but wondered if there were any options for me to do anything there? Any experiences one can share with the waterparks? I should have some mobility to move short distances with a walker by then, to transfer to rides etc. Thanks for any advice!

Sorry about your injury and glad you found helpful info.

I think there would be little you could do at the water parks. Both have some attractions that are accessible to transfer to, but water slides would not be a good choice with broken ankles and even some of the more tame ones do have done risk of slip and fall.

To add to this, the wave pool will knock you down when you get deep enough to "float around" and the lazy river is a constantly moving current that had a high likelihood of bumping your feet in to someone or a wall.

Thanks for the replies, I'm thinking I might stay back and do a spa day and let the boys do their water park thing

I second the idea of the wave pool knocking you down! It will!!!

The lazy river is a strong & moving current. You will have to move quickly to get on the tube. You will have a tough time - you are already injured!!!

Skip the water parks! You are brave enough going to the theme parks, take a rest day and enjoy your vacation.
