Amen. The "List of Common Abbreviations" post is nearly 9 years old and locked. I know there hasn't been all the progress over the last 9 years that many would hope for, but if you compare the abbreviations that are flying around today with those that were around in 2007, that's one measure of progress.

Seriously, I often find these boards to be a pretty insular and unwelcoming "in-crowd" when abbreviations are overused and send me scrambling to figure out what they are talking about.

While I understand, many posters don't care if you ask what the abbreviation means. My job as a moderator is to keep this a welcoming place.

I haven't heard anything about August. I'm sure if they have it running and running well for a while they'll open but they aren't going to open it before they are absolutely sure. I've heard anywhere from September to November but that was a while ago.

You would have to bring that up with the moderator of that board or bring it up with a webmaster. I can only control what goes on, on the rumors and news board. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

So I was digging through the BBS code (Xenforo) and it looks like it is theoretically possible to write something to customize the editor panel code (Redactor) to mark abbreviations (like you mark hyperlinks) to popup a lookup to an abbreviation database when you hover over an abbreviation in a post.

MGM - Metro Goldwyn Mayer - was the production company of the original Twilight Zone show. We are huge fans of the show... That is the Disney connection! MGM Park -> MGM produced show ride. Would be horribly sad if they ever got rid of it.

The vine work is so absolutely incredible, and it's so neat to have seen it through it's construction. I'm a broken record, but this kind of work is what puts Disney in a different class than anybody else. No one else can match the artistry. Here's hoping the rest of the project is as successful.

The original show was produced by Serlings own production company, Cayuga Productions.
