I'm just back from 5 days in Paris and will be doing a trip report when I get around to it but first wanted to post highs and lows!

It was myself and my Momma that went. We stayed in the Cheyenne which was great! We had gone in 2012 and swore we wouldn't go back because of the rudeness and other stuff but spotted a good deal in October and decided to try it again. So compared to last time:

Highs:
-One complaint I had last time was dirt on rides none of that and wait times were 5-10 minutes.
-Character mobs were 90% gone, people actually queued, most waited their turn and interactions were great!
-Another complaint I had last time was the toilets were filthy and stinking with wet floors when it wasn't raining and this time every toilet we went to was clean
-Pin trading last time was awkward. CM's would examine the pins as if there was something wrong. Some said they would only trade if I had nice pins or wanted to pick their own off my lanyard which wasn't the way I was used to trading with CM's in America. This time there was very little of that. Every CM traded what I asked for and most of them for whatever I wanted to give. There was only 3 that wanted to chose.
- Tried a few new restaurants this time and in particular Bistro Chez Remy was fabulous.
- When people tried to skip lines/break rules CM's actually tried to do something about it where last time they just ignored it.
- Tea-time treat vouchers we weren't expecting. We had half board standard and didn't know these went with that meal plan but those and the meal plan itself were a great help

Lows:
- More photopass photographers are needed at characters or around the park in general.
- Still a few around that don't think they have to queue.
- People breaking rules in the park. They announced several times no smoking in the park and no selfie sticks and still there was tonnes of people smoking and I saw a few with selfie sticks. The selfies sticks wouldn't bother me so much but the smoking did. I did see CM's going over to people telling them to stop though
- Taxi back to the airport arrived an hour earlier than booked and we weren't ready to go.
- Two of 4 suitcases getting broken

Overall it was great and I would definately go back this time of year again as the crowds were low. It was freezing though so I think i would invest in a snow suit or something so that I was warmer as it was I had 2 tops, 2 jumpers and a coat on and was still freezing but that's not the parks fault like :D

Sounds like a great trip! Good on you for trying again after such a poor impression the last time.

We loved Bistro Chez Remy too, such a lovely restaurant.

Look forward to reading your trip report when you get round to it.

I wanted to go to Chez Remy for the theming I wasn't expecting the food to be quite as nice as it was so it was a win win all round :)

Ok so figured I get started on the trip report, this might get long as I have alot of pictures!

Day 1, part 1:
Monday 11th January 2016

We had an early morning flight to catch so the day before my fur babies went off to the kennels and at 1am we left home for the airport. We arrived in plenty of time and once we dropped our bags off at the check in desk we went for breakfast. Once we were fed we headed towards security. I had to stop and take a quick pic of our trip mascot before we went through. For those that haven’t seen my previous trip reports this is Angel, he is our trip mascot and comes all around the world with us. For this trip he got a little Woody outfit since we were staying at a cowboy hotel:
IMG_9806_zpsg3p4hdx5.jpg

Getting through security took 20 minutes so we had to go straight to the departure gate since that took so long. We couldn’t get our traditional plane watching pictures before we got on the plane either because our gate seemed to be in a basement! I did manage to get a quick picture of our chariot as we walked out to it though:
IMG_9809_zpssm8ohtzy.jpg

The flight was only a little over an hour so short and sweet and soon we got our first sight of France:
IMG_9816_zpsygjtbuvi.jpg

We flew to Beauvais and once we landed it took them 45 minutes to get us off the plane and allow us into the airport as some automatic door was broken or something. Our luggage was waiting for us in baggage claim when we eventually got there so once we had that we headed straight out to find out taxi to the hotel. We had booked a shared shuttle with R.S. Transports. We found our driver easily but had to wait for another family before he took us to the taxi. We were amused by the fact the airport still had little Christmas trees up in arrivals:
IMG_9820_zpstfrrawcb.jpg

The drive to the hotel seemed to take forever, it was an hour and 15 minutes long and just as I was about to doze off, I spotted Space Mountain:
IMG_9821_zpsnivyg1kf.jpg

The other family was dropped at the Kyriad and then we were dropped off at the Cheyenne. It was shortly before 11am when we arrived and the lobby area was completely packed but again we were surprised to find a Christmas tree still up beside the entrance:
IMG_9831_zpsbhkayorl.jpg

Momma queued to get us checked in and Angel and I waited with the bags at the side of reception:
IMG_9828_zpsalcodwd7.jpg

When Momma eventually got checked in we had two surprises first our room was ready for us, we thought we would have to wait until 3pm to get into the room. Our second surprise, we got free half board meal vouchers when we booked our trip and we knew it included one meal a day but we did not know that we also got pause gourmande (tea-time treat) vouchers with this as well. We headed straight to the room to drop off the bags. We were in the Geronimo building in room 2502. The room was nice. There was obvious wear on the room like the carpet was a tad faded and stuff but we knew the hotel was due for renovations shortly after our visit so we didn’t mind that to much:
IMG_9834_zpso1qjzfmv.jpg

IMG_9835_zps9xkt8nfz.jpg

Once we had a little rest and freshened up we headed back to the lobby to book some meals and take some pictures:
SAM_2005_zps8oz0vocc.jpg

When that was done we headed straight to the parks. The security was upped a lot since the last time we were there. They now have bag scan like at the airport and a body scan as well. It didn’t take to long though and soon we were heading towards Disneyland. They had new welcome signs, since we last visited:
SAM_2007_zpszl8eo5aa.jpg

SAM_2012_zpsqfmanbek.jpg

When we got through the gates we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was still Christmas in the park!
SAM_2016_zps5ahqvext.jpg

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree:
SAM_2021_zps2h3tilew.jpg

I spy the castle:
SAM_2022_zpsl89pppdh.jpg

We wandered up through the shops admiring the merchandise and the windows:
SAM_2028_zpsoqqlydop.jpg

Since it was nearly time to use our first tea-time treat voucher we headed for Casey’s corner. We got a doughnut and drink for the tea-time treat:
SAM_2039_zpsh2hkch3n.jpg

I also got a plain hot-dog:
SAM_2040_zpspddvjfav.jpg

We were both a little to tired to do much today so after we ate we just took a few pictures around the castle hub. I loved the new addition of the characters with the snowmen figures:
SAM_2047_zps1gjoqvfp.jpg

SAM_2056_zpscnbhxqfj.jpg

We wandered into Frontierland and just browsed through the shop near the entrance for a while and then went back out to the Castle hub area to get a spot for the parade. The castle was all pretty and kept twinkling every so often:

Day 1, part 2

When I left you all those months ago we were preparing to watch the parade:

After the parade we headed through the Castle and into Fantasyland to do a few rides.
IMG_9860-001_zpsrxsarsgx.jpg

First Snow White:
IMG_9870-002_zps4ylgytv3.jpg

Then Pinocchio
IMG_9880-001_zpsr2702fev.jpg

And finally Small World. This had been closed for a while before our trip and only reopened the week before we arrived. The colours seemed a lot brighter and I thought there was a few new scenes in it as well.

IMG_9915-001_zpsi5lqaewx.jpg

Most of the rides were walk on or 5-10 minute wait but at this stage we were both pretty tired and hungry so we headed back towards the exit of course taking pictures on the way:
IMG_9924-001_zpsrpwc5k2f.jpg

IMG_9936-001_zpsduxavlf6.jpg

IMG_9937-001_zpsikemfujm.jpg

Just before we left the park I popped into the Storybook store to pick up a Duffy pillow pal. I wanted this on my trip to California and they had every other pillow pal but Duffy so I was delighted to finally have him. Once we were out of the park we headed to Annette’s Diner in the Village for dinner. I had heard about this place being super busy but when we arrived there was no queue we walked straight in and were seated straight away. We both had a cheeseburger and both enjoyed it.
IMG_9950-002_zpszrwijtgf.jpg

Just as we finished eating the parks closed and suddenly there was a burst of people waiting for buses so we decided instead of standing around at a bus stop or squeezing into an over crowded bus to stroll around the Disney Village for a while until the crowds went away.

Sorcerer Mickey is the best Mickey Mouse:

When we got back to the hotel it was straight to bed exhausted but happy to be back at Maison de Mickey!

Day 2, part 1
Tuesday 12th January, 2016

So like any Disney morning we were up early. When we were checking in they give vouchers for breakfast and you have to pick a time you want to attend so we had gone with 7am each day as EMH were starting at 8am every day. After breakfast we found Cowboy Goofy in the lobby of the hotel so we had to stop for a picture:
SAM_2120-001_zpsmayand0h.jpg

Stopping to see Cowboy Goofy made us a little late for Extra Magic Hours but I didn’t care. We weren’t in any great rush anyway. Extra Magic Hours every morning of our trip were going to be at the Walt Disney Studios and for us that park takes less than a day to do as we don’t do the big thrill rides. We did make it early enough for a few almost empty park entrance pics though:
SAM_2127-001_zpsehrmbud6.jpg

SAM_2132-001_zps59bdgy06.jpg

As we headed through Studio 1 I spotted Santa. I was finding it very strange that they still had so many Christmas decorations up this late after Christmas but was delighted at the same time that I got a chance to see them:
SAM_2136-001_zpshyzcirdk.jpg

We went straight to Mickey and Minnie’s line and ended up waiting for all of the remaining extra magic hours just in that line but eventually got to see the two main mice:
SAM_2140-001_zpsa3tmjp27.jpg

IMG_9963-001_zpstamxda0q.jpg

After that we headed past Toy Story Playland to our next destination:
SAM_2145-001_zpsx2arqz1t.jpg

We wanted to see Place de Remy. This wasn’t in Paris on our last trip and we loved the theming of it. It was like stepping into the movie, although not as much as Carsland in California.
SAM_2147-001_zpszh8jo1dx.jpg

SAM_2150-001_zpsowjwrq1f.jpg

We decided to try the Ratatouille ride while we were there. We got Remy for our Rat car:
IMG_9975-001_zpsjkrlkcoz.jpg

We didn’t like this ride, we both came off the ride a little motion sick  and vowed never to go on it again but I at least was glad to have tried it once. Next we went to all the shows. First Animagique, I loved this show and so sad it’s gone from the park now. Next was Cinemagique then Stitch Live. As we were coming out of Stitch live I spotted these and thought they looked cool enough for a picture. I guess eventually they’re going to grow into Mickey head trees:
IMG_9982-001_zpspqhbwfv2.jpg

Next stop was the Motor Stunt Show:
SAM_2162-001_zpsq0xffulg.jpg

McQueen:
SAM_2165-001_zpssr5udahz.jpg

Kaboom:
SAM_2167-001_zpsiczuuswh.jpg

It was freezing in Paris so that big Kaboom at the end with the fire was most welcome, we just wished they’d leave it on a bit longer so we could heat up. :rotfl2:After the Stunt show we were planning on going for a snack but Momma spotted the entrance to Armageddon: Les Effets Speciaux and asked a nearby CM what it was. She wanted to go in and see it so we did. It was ok but not something I’d be running back to see again. After surviving Armageddon we headed to restaurant En Coulisse to use our tea-time treat vouchers. We were supposed to only get doughnuts or ice-cream with these but this restaurant had a fruit option which made Momma very happy. She had that:
IMG_9985-001_zpszjxgsiem.jpg

I got a doughnut and also ordered a chicken burger:
IMG_9986-001_zpsdiynenne.jpg

While we were eating Momma decided to phone her friend and while she was on the phone I wandered around the restaurant and shops area looking at all the Christmas stuff. I even spotted the magic carpet at the far end of the restaurant:
IMG_9987-001_zpst55r9ajx.jpg

When I went back to Momma she had moved to some other little outdoor tea stand and had found this interesting pretzel thing. I tried a bit and decided I needed one. Lookie the Disney Yummies:
IMG_9978-001_zpsyno2wnjs.jpg

The Pretzel needed its own photo:
IMG_9979-001_zpsaq6cx1ls.jpg

It didn’t have the normal pretzel taste off it that I hate it was more one of those chocolate pastry twists but covered in nuts. It was yummy. Once we were all fed up on pretzels we headed to the Art of Disney Animation building. We watched the little show there with Mushu and then we just hung out around the holding area for a while. This was on one wall, the screens would change every so often but I thought it looked cool:
IMG_0007-001_zpstnkumgvf.jpg

We wandered into the shop for a bit looking at the Disney Ornaments and paintings. Loved this one with its little Cheesey Eiffel Tower:

Day 2, part 2

So we were browsing the shop in the Art of Disney Animation building and I spotted they were starting a new character at the animation academy so we ran over there to join in. They drew Mickey Mouse and this is how he should have looked when we were done:

IMG_0017-001_zpsjg1usiqu.jpg

This was my attempt:
IMG_0019-001_zps2ltpnx6c.jpg

We hung around the Animation building a while longer after we drew Mickey Mouse just playing on their computers like all grown ups do. You could colour a bunny rabbit:
IMG_0022-001_zpsn3xzhebp.jpg

After that we headed towards the exit but stopped off at a few shops on the way out to pick up a few bits we had spotted that we wanted. I got a 2016 Vinylmation. After that we left the Walt Disney Studios and headed back to the hotel for a rest.
IMG_0029-001_zpsizkfy0ec.jpg

On the bus on the way back I opened the Vinylmation. I don’t know if anyone collects them but for those that don’t the dated 2016 Vinyl’s had three possible choices you could get a common which was like sorcerer Mickey colours red and blue, then there was two rarer ones you could get a pink and blue one or a black and white one. You don’t know what you’ve got until you open the box. For this one I got a common but his head was on backwards  and I couldn’t get it off to fix it. When we got back to the hotel I went into the gift shop to show the CM she tried to get the head off but couldn’t and since they didn’t have any suggested I either go to World of Disney with him or back to the shop I got him in. We were headed back into the Disney Village that evening anyway so once we were rested up we took off a little earlier and popped into World of Disney and showed the vinyl to another CM there who got very huffy about it and said just to pull the head off and fix it, tried it himself and broke the head completely off so then pretty begrudgingly just handed me a new box which turned out to be one of the rarer ones:
IMG_0165-001_zpswhtmpslz.jpg

Anyway Vinyl sorted we headed for our dinner which was going to be at Buffalo Bills Wild West Show. We got all checked in, we had been to this two years in a row way back in 02/03 and we had been in the green and red sections back then so we were hoping to be Blue or Yellow this time… no such luck we were in Red River Ranch:
IMG_0041-001_zps3otntte8.jpg

Before we were allowed into the seats a group of musicians set up playing cowboy music:
SAM_2177-001_zpsde7vieou.jpg

Cowboy Goofy came out as well:
SAM_2181-001_zps5yi0sbcz.jpg

When we were allowed in there was already Tortilla chips on the tables:
IMG_0052-001_zpsnxllyvyq.jpg

Our cool old style cowboy cook-out plates were out as well and there was cornbread hidden under the bowl:
IMG_0053-001_zpsvhk0j7y0.jpg

IMG_0056-001_zpsme0cozar.jpg

This was our view as the arena was filling up:
IMG_0055-001_zpsia62k1nj.jpg

Once the show started the servers came around with chilli for everyone. I forgot to take pictures of the food because I was to distracted by the Disney characters in their Western outfits! Last time we saw the show the characters were not in it:
IMG_0066-001_zpsruuenzjz.jpg

There was a few cowboys and Indians as well of course:
IMG_0069-001_zps4ffh8vnt.jpg

And Buffalo Bill himself:
IMG_0072-001_zps333qrhdk.jpg

The Main Mouse :lovestruc
IMG_0095-001_zpsrqeao2lt.jpg

Somewhere in the middle of the show they came around with the main course which was baby potatoes, rib steak, chicken and sausages. I was so engrossed in the show I forgot to be a good disser and take food pictures until my plate looked like this:
IMG_0098-001_zpschxisgwc.jpg

I did get a picture of the apple crumble and ice-cream we had for dessert though:
IMG_0110-001_zps8qnvlzwv.jpg

Just because it was dessert time didn’t mean the show was over though there was still games to be played and crooks to be caught. This dude was helping out with the games for the Red River Ranch section:
IMG_0114-001_zpscrwdcn5e.jpg

Mickey and Minnie kept doing this every so often:
IMG_0122-001_zpsmvsf3fds.jpg

Horseys:
IMG_0135-001_zpssa43ssis.jpg

We were all rewarded with gold coins (chocolate coins) because the bad guys were caught:
IMG_0140-001_zpsmikdts3z.jpg

Momma had resisted this show the last few times we visited even though I had asked every year if we would go. We used half board meal vouchers to pay for it so instead of costing 65 euro we paid 30 each I think and we both agreed it was well worth it with the voucher! We loved the show and the addition of the Disney characters made it even better than it was before. We didn't think the food was to bad either, it wasn't the best food we had ever had but it was still good. So show enjoyed we headed back to our Cowboy hotel for a good nights sleep.

Oh thank you for update! Love the borders on photos.

DLP the Magic Kingdom such a pretty park! IASW I love the Irish rainbow!

Dinner cheeseburger yum!

It is odd the Christmas decs still up in Jan. I agree.

Oh oh oh Wild West Show we loved this too! I am so pleased this is still there. It is such good fun.

Looks like you has a great time. So colourful your update. I really enjoyed it! Makes me want go hop on the Eurostar to DisneyLand Paris..

Thanks for joining in :)

I like Disneyland Paris. It's pretty hit and miss sometimes with the "magic level" because it seems to attract a few more rude people than the American parks but this trip was a million times better than our last trip there. Maybe it was the time of the year and the fact there was less people. Also being from Ireland I love that they include Ireland in Small World :)

Dinner cheeseburger yum!
It was pretty good and I didn't think it was overly expensive as Disneyland prices go.

It is odd the Christmas decs still up in Jan. I agree.
Yeah I thought the Christmas season was ending on the 6th and everything would be gone on the 7th but we were there the 11th-15th and there was Christmas stuff up all week.

Oh oh oh Wild West Show we loved this too! I am so pleased this is still there. It is such good fun.
I loved the show. Was so happy Momma agreed to go to it.

I'm itching to get back to any Disney park lol

Lovely that you've continued this! I love reading everyone's trip reports - wish there were more.

Your photos are great, all the night time ones are beautiful - how amazing do the teacups look at night :cloud9:

Buffalo bills looks great - we've only done it once and I'd like to again but DH didn't think much of the food - might show him our photos to try and change his mind.

Look forward to more :goodvibes

Thanks. I love doing the trip reports because it helps keep the trip alive for a little while longer :)

Thanks. I know those tea-cups look amazing at night :)

I had been trying to talk Momma into going back to Buffalo Bills since 2003 and she finally gave in, mostly because we had the meal vouchers to use against the cost but she loved it. The food isn't like the best meal ever but it's traditional cowboy I guess and it's edible. AFAIK there's a veggie option as well so maybe that meal would be better? :confused3

Day 3, part 1
Wednesday 13th January

This morning after breakfast I found Pluto in the Lobby. This Pluto was brill as a character. He was panting like a dog and anyone that gave him a kiss he’d start tapping his leg really quick like as if he was really excited:
IMG_0180-002_zpsp6xbors8.jpg

Momma had a cold and wasn’t feeling the best this morning so after breakfast she went back to bed. I headed for the bus to the parks taking pictures of the hotel on the way. I love the way the Cheyenne is built like an old western town:

SAM_2206-002_zpsyepatblk.jpg

SAM_2211-001_zps2daoph97.jpg

SAM_2220-001_zpsnycetpdu.jpg

Eventually made it to the bus stop and headed for Disneyland and headed straight to Fantasyland through the Castle:
SAM_2236-001_zps79sr6wtp.jpg

The crowds hadn’t really built up, that or they were all in line trying to get fast passes for the princesses because apparently that’s the only way you could meet Princesses in Disneyland. I wasn’t interested in that this morning though. I just took pictures as I meandered to my destination:

SAM_2242-001_zpszawrbgjh.jpg

Love this dude:
SAM_2243-001_zpsfkkwlz5e.jpg

So where was I headed… to meet the head Mouse of course! His meet and greet wasn’t opened yet so they were letting people queue up before the doors opened and I was like third in line score! When they did let us in it was super fast:

SAM_2244-001_zpsxgeulfuy.jpg

Mickey’s meet and greet is in the theatre where I first danced with the dancing school way back in 2002. I noticed they’ve put screens in and there was Disney cartoons playing so if you did have to wait there was a bit of entertainment. After meeting Mickey Mouse I headed towards Adventureland to see what other characters I could find and first up I spotted Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. Their line seemed to move really slowly so I took pictures while waiting:
IMG_0182-001_zps1yt61lfb.jpg

SAM_2246-001_zpsym3zx4ji.jpg

Eventually I got to see Smee and Hook. Smee tried to rob my boots. I had sparkly boots and apparently he loved them. The CM told him that pirates don’t wear sparkly things and he pointed to himself as if to say he did so the CM said that he needed a pair of fairy wings for himself:
SAM_2249-001_zpsphqaklfu.jpg

Photos taken I continued on my search for characters. Next I found Jafar and Iago with not that long a wait. I had never met Jafar so this was cool. He kept trying to hypnotise people with his staff though :scared1:
SAM_2254-001_zpswyypwiwp.jpg

Shortly after I met Jafar he left and Abu took his place so I doubled back and got in line to meet him as well:
SAM_2264-001_zps8ref8lh1.jpg

At this point Momma had text to say she was heading into the park so I headed towards the entrance to meet her when she came in. I was waiting near the Christmas tree so took a few pics with the trip mascot while I was waiting:
IMG_0185-001_zpsxkuetf2c.jpg

Once Momma got into the park we wandered back up Main Street through the shops. This was on the front of one of t-shirts like yup take me back now please:
IMG_0188-001_zpsbtzgfbqp.jpg

There was a cute display in one of the shops with Cruella and the Dalmatians. I thought the sleepy puppy was cute:

SAM_2277-001_zpsomvdfnn9.jpg

Momma wanted tea so we headed to Casey’s corner where I got a Hot Dog and I got a souvenir cup with a doughnut. I thought the cup was cute it had loads of characters on it including Duffy:
IMG_0189-001_zpsxac3oxrt.jpg

Next up we headed into Frontierland in search of another character I’d never seen. In 2012 when we were in Paris we thought there was an awful lot of rude people around the park and we weren’t to happy about it. This trip had been a million times better, along with that when a CM saw anyone not following rules they actually made an effort to stop them this year. Well one of the new rules was no smoking in the parks, great right, but some people didn’t think they had to follow this rule. So we were waiting in line for our next character and this group of young girls were behind us and they were smoking. Momma started coughing, she had a cold anyway and the smoke was annoying her chest, well the girls starting laughing and deliberately started jeering her coughing and blowing smoke directly into her face. A CM came over and told them they had to stop smoking and they ignored him and continued on their behaviour. We did our best to ignore the behaviour and soon the line started moving and not only did we get to meet Tiana who I’d never met but Naveen came out with her:

SAM_2282-001_zpsw3m5zy5g.jpg

Since we were so close to Phantom Manor we headed there next. I had never actually been on Phantom Manor so this was a first for me:
IMG_0208-001_zpsbfqenc7n.jpg

Big Thunder Mountain was closed for renovation when we were there but from Phantom Manors queue you could get a great view of the drained lake:
IMG_0196-001_zpsjw06sd52.jpg

Reading trip reports everyone says this is the creepiest of the Disney Haunted Mansions, I didn’t think it was that creepy though. Maybe it was because the story was a bit lost on me because the spooky voice in the stretching room was talking in French:

Once we were finished in Phantom Manor we didn’t really have plans until Parade time so we just wandered around Adventureland and Frontierland looking at the shops and taking pictures:

The feet were starting to bother me at this point so while Momma was browsing one of the shops I sat on a bench outside and spotted this dude wandering around:

At this point it was nearing the time to use another one of our tea-time treat vouchers so we headed into Pizza Outpost since we were beside it. We had a bigger meal planned for later so I just got the ice-cream treat this time:

Momma was hungry now though so got a pizza and shared one or two slices with me:

There was a little band of drummers in Pizza Outpost keeping everyone entertained as well:

We ended up staying in the Pizza Outpost for quite a while just watching the drummers and resting our feet but eventually it was getting near parade time so we started to wander back towards Main Street. The Robinson Family tree house was closed while we were there but I took pictures anyway:

How pretty are the lanterns coming out of Adventureland:

Back out at the hub we got a spot for the parade and I took a few pics of the trip mascot with the castle in the background:

While I was taking these a CM was watching, I think he thought I was trying to take a selfie and offered to take a picture for me. The pre parade of Mine Mine Mine birds started then:

Think they were looking for food. This day I wanted to video the parade so not as many pictures but I did grab some off the video camera and there was a few funny moments:

The Mad Hatter came right over to the camera and said something at it, although I’m still trying to figure out exactly what he said lol:

There was a bin beside us and a CM was crouched down in front of it and the Queen of hearts tried to shove his head into the bin:

After the Parade we headed into the Christmas shop in the castle to get some new decorations. I need this fireplace:

Then we headed over towards Discoveryland:

We popped into one of the shops to have a quick look:

The trip mascot with Mickey and Minnie. I think Minnie and Mickey were meant to be dressed like they are in the parade:

This was actually some place I went to pin trade as well. In 2012 I had made a complaint regarding a number of issues after our trip, one of which was the way the CM’s did the pin trading. They wanted to pick their own pin and would spend time checking the pin they took from your lanyard. In WDW the CM’s are given the pins to trade with people and are meant to allow guests to choose what they wanted from their lanyard and what to trade it for. The only rules being green lanyards are for under 12’s only and that you can’t give the CM a pin they already have. This year pin trading in Paris was a lot better and more like WDW but there was still the odd few who didn’t go with these rules. The guy with the Mickey Vinylmation on day 2 was one. He picked his own pin from my lanyard and here was another one. I asked to trade and went to hand the CM a pin and she got huffy and said do I not get to pick my own so I went to take my lanyard out of my bag to show her what else I hand and she just shoved the pin I wanted at me and snatched the pin I had been offering her going oh forget it. I was a little shocked but didn’t dwell to much on it, for the most part pin trading had been really good this time and it was time to try another new ride and go on Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast but Momma didn’t want to try it so I went by myself:

Probably didn’t get the highest score but I thought it was ok for a first attempt lol:
IMG_0254-001_zpsvkvshlu7.jpg

After Buzz Lightyear we headed back to the hub again to get a spot to watch Disney Dreams. They had turned the Christmas lights off on the castle this night:

Day 3, part 3

So we were about to watch Dreams. I didn’t get any photos this night because I was recording it but I pulled these off the video camera:

After Dreams we headed back down Main Street stopping for a few pictures along the way of course:

Dinner tonight was in the hotel in the Chuck Wagon Café. It was buffet style and they had everything you can think of. I took tonnes of pictures around the buffet, these are just a few they had everything you can think of though:

Dessert:

If the cakes weren’t enough they had ice-creams as well:

We tried a selection of things and probably ate way to much. After that we headed back to the room to chill out for the evening and rest our tired feet more importantly.

Day 4, part 1
Thursday 14th January

This morning Momma stayed in bed, she had been up all night vomiting so was exhausted. I went and met Cowboy Goofy in the hotel lobby before I headed into the parks. It was raining this morning so I decided to browse World of Disney before going to the parks. Loved these hoodies:

IMG_0299-001_zpsbymxovvz.jpg

By the time I had finished browsing in World of Disney, the rain had slowed down a good bit so I headed into the Disneyland Park and spotted this on the way:
IMG_0301-001_zps0uocmx6p.jpg

When I was in the park I didn’t notice them filming anywhere though. I headed through the Emporium trying to stay out of the rain and towards Frontierland because I’d spotted a Meeko plush there I wanted and my Shellie May bear back home needed a dress. Shopping done for now I decided to head towards Adventureland and see if there was any characters out. The park was extremely quiet that morning with the rain so I wasn’t expecting any characters to be around but soon enough spotted Pluto just wandering around, stopping to take pictures and interact with people:
IMG_0304-001_zpsln1ifymk.jpg

I spotted the Genie out as well with no line so went up to meet him:
SAM_2327-001_zpsxicq995l.jpg

There was two other people waiting in the Genie line but when the CM asked them if they wanted pictures they said no they were waiting for Jafar. Genie seemed to get a bit insulted by this and walked off to hang out with Pluto. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee came out as well and the four characters were messing around together for a bit and then all went their separate ways. I decided to brave the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This again was a new ride for me, we tend to only do the gentle rides like Small World etc but decided to try it while I was going solo in the park:

IMG_0313-001_zpsn3xadxti.jpg

IMG_0316-001_zpsdqrienk3.jpg

Since I managed to brave pirates on my own I decided to head into Fantasyland and try another ride in there I’d never been on but first I spotted Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. I went to try get a picture with them but they were acting like bold children. They were running around the area and stealing things on kids and just not staying in the one spot so I just snapped a quick picture of them while one of them was trying to eat some poor child’s Elsa pen:
SAM_2336-001_zpsx3qfxe9x.jpg

After that I headed to queue for Dumbo. This was new for me. I don’t think 10 trips to various parks I’ve ever gone on the flying elephant:

SAM_2337-001_zpshccmiltr.jpg

Safely back on the ground I headed to Pinocchio’s for some food. The CM in here wasn’t the friendliest. I did French in school so I understand a bit of it but I wouldn’t be able to have a full conversation in it and can’t order in French and although this was very obvious this CM made no effort at all to speak English like the others would. I eventually managed to order a chicken burger meal:
IMG_0324-001_zpsgxnnnlq0.jpg

Next up I headed to the Storybook boats. Love this ride and especially love the way they have the little characters in each scene:

SAM_2348-001_zpsuovnnad0.jpg

SAM_2352-001_zpsixoldsan.jpg

I was going to go on Casey Jr. after this but the wait time said 35 minutes and I didn’t fancy waiting that long so instead I headed towards Small World and spotted these two wandering around on my way:

SAM_2360-001_zpsjizyplib.jpg

As I was already headed up the ramp to the Small World queue I continued that way and decided to look for the mice afterwards:

IMG_0365-001_zpsykmzgotp.jpg

After my trip around the world I found Suzy and Perla down by the side of Small World. They had the old style character mob going on with no queues which was a bit frustrating but there wasn’t to many people there so I stuck it out and eventually managed to get pictures of them at least and they loved my rose pen as well:

Lovely updates, you met so many good characters - would love to meet the Genie and Abu :thumbsup2

Pictures are lovely around the park, nice and quiet.

What a shame your mum wasn't well on your trip, hope she manages to get better and see some more of Disney before you leave.

There was tonnes of characters around then and because it was so quiet was barely any wait for them especially the Aladdin characters. Most of them were walk up

January was a fabulous time to visit because the Christmas decorations were still up and the parks were so quiet. I think the longest wait time was 15 minutes anywhere but then Peter Pan was closed so that probably would have been longer if it was open :rotfl2:

She really did have a rough time of it this trip.
