We have a blank spot in our ADRs because we can't decide. Any suggestions? We have park hoppers and will be at MK early that day. We weren't thrilled by any suggestion for an ADR at MK. We have two days at MK and will be using QS for lunch and dinner both meals one of the days. The only place we don't want to visit is chef Mickey. Kids are 9(boy) and 5(girl). But aren't super into character meals, but open to ideas. Thanks!

Here is our schedule

Arrival day checking into Port Orleans French Quarter:
Dinner: DS, TS Raglan Road

Day 1:
Lunch: AK, QS Flaming Tree
Dinner: Epcot: TS San Angel Inn

Day 2(short day at MK)
Breakfast: MK QS BOG
Lunch: MK, QS TBD
Dinner: TS - Need suggestion, not in MK.

Day 3:
No parks/off day
Lunch: QS DS: Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang
Dinner: TS Hoop Dee Doo

Day 4(long day fireworks):
Lunch: MK: QS TBD
Dinner: MK: QS TBD

Day 5(not leaving park):
Lunch: HS, QS TBD
Dinner: HS, TS Sci-fi drive in

Thanks for helping. We haven't been to Disney in almost 10 years.

Anything in the MK resorts could work. Grand Floridian Cafe is popular. I love Kona at the Poly or Ohana is again very popular. There's also The Wave at the Contemporary.

If you are looking for a 1 TS credit meal, my first choices would be the Wave at CR. Good food and atmosphere and you can walk (or monorail) from MK. Second choice would be GF Cafe, O'hana or Kona. I like the food better at GF Cafe, but Poly is fun to visit. I'm not a big fan of Whispering Canyon, but WL is gorgeous. Trail's End could be fun, too! There is a playground plus the stables for the WDW horses next door.

If you are looking for a signature, I would go to Artist Point at WL. It's excellent!

I know you said your kids weren't super into character meals, but would you consider 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian? It's a buffet, and Cinderella, the prince, the stepsisters and step mom are all in attendance. Cinderella and the prince dance, the stepsisters bicker-- we think it's a lot of fun.

You could monorail over to Epcot for the evening, and have dinner really Chef's of France, or Spice Road tables, or at Corral Reef when our DD's were around this age they enjoyed watching the fish, something different that you can't get at home.

On day 5 you are showing QS at DHS, you might want to rethink this, as for some reason here QS is not very good. I would check the menus to make sure your family will be happy with what's offered. Or switch your ADR time for SCI-FI to lunch and then do something else for dinner. Such as taking the boat over to the boardwalk for lunch or dinner, and the resorts around there or even use the back gate into Epcot for QS options.

Are you planning on going back to the MK after dinner? If so I would recommend dining at one of the MK resorts. With the age of your children I would have to agree with the recommendation of Whispering Canyon located in the Wilderness Lodge. I also agree that the resort is just gorgeous. The boat ride over to the resort is not long at all. I personally enjoy the endless skillet, and the fun and antics are something that just about any 9 year old boy and 5 year old girl would love. Also with being on the DDP (assuming you are) the bottomless milkshakes at Whispering Canyon can be used as your beverage on the plan (or at least it was in 2014 and prior); what kid wouldn't love to have a refill on a milkshake.

Around the MK resort area, we like The Wave(10 min walk from front gate at MK), Kona or Ohana at Polynesian or Grand Floridian Cafe

I am also wondering what your evening plans are. I can't imagine a Disney vacation with only a half day at Epcot - our favorite park. I agree with the suggestion to spend the evening in Epcot
I would eat at either Biergarden or Via Napoli. I think your children would enjoy either
Have Fun

If you wanted to stay in the MK area- I would recommend Whispering Canyon @ WL or Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF. We haven't done Trails End yet- but it seems v removed to me and we never makes it into our plans. If you wanted to park hop- you could go to EPCOT and your options open up enormously for food within the world showcase. I would recommend Biergarten or Restaurant Marrakech. If you wanted something off the beaten path- check out Animal Kingdom Lodge- we love Boma and Saana.

I would say either Trails End (a hidden gem!) or Whispering Canyon Cafe if you wanted to stay near MK.

If you want to go to Epcot (although it would be a LONG walk to the back) - Via Napoli is great

You could also walk to the Contemporary and catch a bus to Disney Springs - People love (although I can't vouch) for TRex. Raglan Road is nice and fairly kid friendly. If you want counter service - people love Earl of Sandwhich and WG Puck Express.

You don't say where you are staying, which may give people more ideas.

My top picks are:
1900 Park Fare, food is amazingly delicious, service is always good, and the characters are a RIOT, definitely look into it, it's not your average character meal!
-Trails End: though has some very similar food to Hoop Dee Doo it also has a ton of other stuff and is DELICIOUS, also a buffet, and cheap!
-Grand Floridian Cafe: IMO, way better than Citricos, we LOVED the food, had incredible service, great wine, it was an all around incredible evening and we went back a few times!
-Kona: has great sushi, good prices, it's always a miss for service though, and some of the cm's are just awkward and it makes for an awkward night, but the sushi is delicious!

I suggest taking the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge for the TS there. It's fun, good variety on the menu and not too far to travel from MK. Great boat ride to and from.

If you are looking at a Table Service meal at a MK Resort that you can just hop on the monorail to it would be either:

Whispering Canyon Cafe, Ohana, Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe, 1900 Park Fare, and The Wave. Really, any of these are really good options! We have eaten at all of them besides 1900 Park Fare and Whispering Canyon. People love O'hana but it's hard to get a reservation. If you can do it, I'd try that. But we love Kona Cafe, and the Grand Floridian cafe too. Check out some of the menus on the Disney Website.

I would head to Epcot and choose a restaurant in the World Showcase. The kids might like Coral Reef. It gets mixed reviews, and I agree it can be hit or miss, but I kow that my DGD loved it there. I plan on taking ly frien's little girls there on or next trip..

My vote is for the Trails End buffet. We are trying it this year. Last time we took the boat there for the Hoop de Doo and it was super easy and a nice ride. It's cool to check that place out since there are horses there to look at and stuff if you arrive early.

We weren't planning on going back to MK since we have one long day there already (including fireworks). Adding WC to our list. Thank you!
