Find Your Own "Directive" - the February Weight Loss / Life Style Change Challenge

It is. I'm going to the movies though. It's going to be in the single didgets today and tomorrow so no running for me till I do 4 on sunday. Hopefully I'll get my own motivation.

Please tell me this 4 will be indoors? With the forecast of steady windchill of -30 they are saying frostbite will occur in as little as 10-15 minutes! This is just crazy cold!!! My PT gave me an exception to my no treadmill rule for this weekend. I was outside for like 2 minutes walking from a birthday party to my car and it hurt.

Starting off with the bad news ... after a rough week, I'm checking in with another delightful 0%. It's frustrating because I know that I can do better. Oh well. I've got a good feeling about my next weigh-in ... I think this will be the week that the scale starts moving in the right direction. I hope.

Tell us about a romantic gesture/experience you've either been involved in or witnessed at a Disney Park.
What are some ideas for Romance at Disney Parks?

I saw a proposal last month. In front of the castle. We were waiting in line for a PhotoPass photographer, and the guy in front of us proposed to his girlfriend.
I always thought proposals in front of the castle were corny (I know, I know), but it was actually really amazing to witness (and of course, I was that one person saying "say no" ... I'm horrible).
Beyond that ... don't talk to me about romance. Seriously. It makes me sad.

---

So ... tomorrow looks like it will be yet another fun treadmill run. I usually go out for my run between 7 and 8, and the hourly forecast has us at 2-3 degrees ... but it's gonna feel like -16. I much prefer running outside, but ... I don't want them to discover my frozen body in the park at some point. Weather looks to be getting better over the next few days, so hopefully I'll be back outside for my next run on Tuesday.
How's everyone else doing with the weather?

I didn't run yet I thought it was supposed to be warmer Sunday and just freezing today. I was pretty wrong. :guilty:

It was gorgeous and sunny here today, but SO COLD. The highest it got was 34 degrees. :-( I know that's nowhere near as low as some of your temps, but after the low 60's last week, it seemed colder than ever. And we'll be up in the high 60's again next week, so I'm just hoping we don't end up sick. Blah! Come on, spring.

We aren't big Valentine's people (I've always thought it was a silly holiday) but that being said, I do like Disney and I do like my DH and I do like being in Disney with my DH! Here are a few photos from our Disneymoon in October. It was his first real trip (he went once before, when he was 5, but he didn't remember anything from it and he had broken his leg and was in a wheelchair the whole trip so he missed a lot) so we just really focused on the experience of being there (and no longer wedding planning! LOL)... We wore our buttons and wedding ears every day (well, I did - he only wore his ears one morning haha) and had super cute t-shirts that we wore on our MK morning. It was so much fun. "Mickey Mouse" paid for our breakfast at Crystal Palace that morning which was just unbelievably cool and unexpected pixie dust. That night we had a fancy dinner at Il Mulino (OMG SO GOOD. And the most amazing white wine sangria I've ever had) and then watched Illuminations at EPCOT after. Other than our fancy dinner we were basically big kids all week, haha. I think just being together in Disney was romantic on its own.

It's -14 out and my heat isn't working right. Ahhhhh. :cold::cold::cold:

Actually, channel 5 just said we've just broken another record. -16 now, -35 windchill. When I first turned it on we were ar -15. How low can we go?

I hope your heat holds out. We have to drive into Boston later and I'm worried how my car, which is way overdue for regular maintenance, will do. That's what happens when you prioritize running over getting your car taken care of!

Stay warm!

Oh yay good for us.... I left my house and it was 48 in there. I'm worried about my rabbits that I'm not even supposed to have. I'm going to grab a space heater on my way home.

My car was okay I just left it heat up forever. The heat never got warm though on the drive to Sturbridge. Just horrible. I think we get the worst out of all the weather ever.

Good morning! I woke up and discovered I've been magically transported..... not sure if I'm in Arendell or the North Pole... but it is COLD! -15° here this morning (without the wind chill). We usually get a few of these days every winter and I forget how MISERABLE they truly are! I picked up DD last night and just the relatively short walk from the car into the building was painful! Glad I got her away from there for the weekend.... although what a great diet plan! Imagine this.... for EVERY MEAL you wanted to eat, you had to walk at least 10 minutes (each way) in below zero temps with wind that is so strong it knocks your hat/hood off. How many meals would YOU eat? :rotfl2:

Happy Valentine's Day friends! I personally do not care for the day for a number of reasons, but we usually have a minor celebration here.... usually we at least try to have a nice family dinner. Tonight we will have homemade broccoli cheddar soup and probably some peanut butter mug cakes as a treat. Nothing too exciting, but delicious and on plan, so that works! DS's girlfriend will be here during the afternoon so that they can hang out for a bit. They were supposed to go bowling and out to lunch... not sure why that changed.

I found some free Disney printable valentine's for the family (Yup, I'm a BIG spender ;)).... off to sign them and pop them in an envelope before everyone is awake! TTYL.............P

HEY! You're going to MY town today!! Do you folks still live there? Hope the heat gets fixed QUICKLY! .....................P

Well I got married there so I don't think I could get any more romantic at Disney! We got married at the WL with just my family and my MIL present. They were doing construction on the pool at that time and the wedding coordinator actually made them STOP construction so that there wasn't awful noise ruining our wedding. Then we took pictures around the hotel. We also bought the package to get pictures taken in the parks. We chose MK and DHS because they're our favorite and it was just such a cool experience! I loved being there where there was no one else but us and the cast members. Even if we did have to get up at ungodly hours to do it. I'd do it again and again.

Pictures to share???

Yes I love watching those movies with my daughter.

I agree the photos of @JacknSally are great - you look stunning in the one dressed for dinner.

Ok here's my report no miracles happened - I'm back to 0% gained back my small loss, must be food choices and possibly PMS effect - as I have increased my exercise. Oh well I'll keep trying.

Stay warm everyone.

Haha I go there 5 days a week! It's where my work is! They moved to Maine so no.

@flvy I hope your heater is an easy fix. You may need to cuddle with the rabbit to keep you both warm :) It is freezing here also and the people that owned this house before did a really bad renovation and the room they added has next to no heat which is my oldest DS bedroom. He has been using a space heater and a small heating pad to keep warm in there.

I am so struggling with what to for my walk. It is my walking day and so cold out. I hate going to my gym and it will be so crowded. Ugh. Maybe I will wait until my coffee kicks in before I decide. :)

Facebook tells me I'm not the only one with this issue so I think it was just too cold for the heat to actually work. We'll see. I'm going to buy a space heater after work. More for the bunnies than me though.

Which store (or is that WAAYYY too nosey)? Just asking because my niece used to work at the Marshall's down there......................P
