The One Where I Go To Disney World for the Tenth Time: Aug '14 TR - COMPLETE 5/21 LIFE U/D 7/7

OK first, what an awesome ending to your trip, having the characters at AoA :stitch:pluto::donald: That's one of the coolest things I've heard of!
Thank you for sharing the pictures of your nursery, your shower, and you with your belly :goodvibes Best wishes for an easy delivery and yes, do not forget to share the news with us here!

Been there done that myself. Prolonging magic and rice krispie treats do not mix.

:rolleyes1

Only a WDW lover would really buy a shot glass ; )

I agree ;)

He clearly loves the place, he's just in a bit of denial.

I know!! I read your comment to DH and he rolled his eyes and laughed. But I do know it, deep down inside!

Thanks for letting us follow along on your trip and more important your pregnancy. You look great and the babies room is beautiful. As I'm sure everyone has told you life as you know it will never be the same, in only the most amazing ways. And just think your next trip to the world will be as a Mom. Seeing the disney magic through a childs eye will even soften you DH's heart ; ) Keep up posted on the baby.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It means so much to me :goodvibes

:love:Love, love, love your trip report! This was great and congrats to you!!!

Thank you so much!! :goodvibes I love hearing that people enjoyed reading along!

I have really enjoyed reading your trip report! The nursery is gorgeous! I hope you have a safe and easy labor and delivery and I can't wait to see pics of your sweet baby girl!

Thank you, thank you! :goodvibes And I'm so happy you enjoyed following along.

GREAT trip report! Lots of fun to follow along on your adventures together. You guys looked like you had an AMAZING TIME! All the best to you as you prepare to welcome your sweet baby to the world :)

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed following along. We had such a great time. And thank you for the very kind words. :goodvibes

OK first, what an awesome ending to your trip, having the characters at AoA :stitch:pluto::donald: That's one of the coolest things I've heard of!

I know! I still can't get over it!

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your nursery, your shower, and you with your belly :goodvibes Best wishes for an easy delivery and yes, do not forget to share the news with us here!

Thank you :goodvibes I will certainly share news here when I have some!

Also, I heard that when I'm in the throes of labor I can get pretty much whatever I want out of him :thumbsup2

A 'Push Present' for sure!

Hmm... You may be thinking of our Punta Cana trip a few years back. He came in 2nd place in a drinking contest at the resort, but that was more of a speed thing. And you have an amazing memory if you actually remembered that because it was almost 3 years ago!

Yes Punta Cana! I remember cause your trip really made me want to visit!

which I had NEVER SEEN BEFORE!

I'm very shocked.

I think he had the most snack credits left over out of all of us.

Woah, this is pretty shocking too!

He opted for a chocolate covered frozen banana.
IMG_0470.jpg

Woah :rotfl2::rotfl:

I don't know why I took a picture of this sign, except maybe to remind myself that I would love to buy in one day :rotfl:
IMG_0474.jpg

Or maybe this should be your push present! ::yes::

We had time for one last attraction, and what better way to end the trip than with... [cue the water works ]
IMG_0475.jpg

Oh my gosh, seriously the best way to end a trip.

I've been in here before but in between these last 2 trips I really started reading/watching more about Walt's history and Disneyland and Disney World and I just appreciated everything in here so much more.

Glad you brought this up. Even though it took me years to come to this attraction, I think the timing was just right on. I had finished a couple of WDW/Walt books in 2014 and then seeing this in 2015 just made it all come together for me, if that makes sense.

Uh, i'll take one of everything now please!

Unfortunately, I waited WAY too long to eat the last cookie and rice crispy and they were both disgustingly stale. :crazy2: So don't try to prolong the magic for too long people, it doesn't work!

 So true!

I love the AoA magnet. And I reminisce all the time I walk up to my fridge too from all the trips we've taken since we've been together.

:rotfl::lmao:
THERE WERE CHARACTERS EVERYWHERE! :hyper:

WHAT?!?! Now this is DEFINITELY the way to end a trip! Seriously how lucky are you guys. Like, they were there to send you off!

These are just perfect!

:hyper:

This is so cute!

And who cares? That was the best ending to a trip ever. I honestly couldn't even be sad anymore. Okay that's a lie, I was still sad. But I was less sad.

Wow I really wouldn't mind spending a few nights at AoA. The theming is just amazing!

Then we went outside to get our bags and wait for the Tragical Express. DH found an easel with instructions for how to draw Nemo. Clearly it was intended for children but that didn't stop him. (Nor should it have! This is WDW after all! :goodvibes)
IMG_0524.jpg

IMG_0526.jpg

Look at him! Good job Bobby!

I took this intending for it to be the last picture of the trip :sad1:
IMG_0537.jpg

You look, seriously, so sad. :sad1: Like I want to take you back right now!

Don't worry DH, we'll be back sooner than you think ;)
pheobe%20evil%20laugh.gif

MUAHAHAHA! :stir:

Thank you to everyone who has been following along. It's been so much fun reliving this trip and I'm a little sad that it's over. Hopefully you'll see me back in just a couple of years writing another one ;)

I hope so!

I took this picture a week ago although not much has changed since then :goodvibes
IMG_5941.jpg

You look great! But i'm sure you're ready for this to be over. This part is just uncomfortable.

I can't remember if I mentioned it anywhere else in the TR but M is also pregnant and due 8 days after me. But she is having a scheduled C-Section at 39 weeks, which happens to be the day after my due date! What are the chances!? S swears that we will have our babies on the same day, although I'm not so sure. I think her baby will come first. But we'll see!

Seriously that is awesome!!! How fun that you and your good friend were pregnant at the same time! It's cool that you had someone to complain to during your pregnancy that knew exactly how you felt.
I had a baby shower a month ago that was, of course, Winnie the Pooh themed! pooh::tigger: My mother-in-law threw the shower with the help of my two sister-in-laws (one of whom is also pregnant - with her second!) and my mom took care of the decorations.

Me and you had the exact same theme for everything! :thumbsup2

This is way too cool :hyper:

I wish I would have known you were doing Classic Winnie the Pooh. DS had the exact same bedding and I could have just sent it to you and could have saved that $100+!

I do hope you'll come back and share pics of your DD and share the story! :goodvibes

Yes, perfect sense!

If you have to leave, this is the way to do it...

You look, seriously, so sad. :sad1: Like I want to take you back right now!

OKAY! Do you want to fly here first or should I just meet you at MCO?

Seriously that is awesome!!! How fun that you and your good friend were pregnant at the same time! It's cool that you had someone to complain to during your pregnancy that knew exactly how you felt.

It was so great. We got to share all the highs and lows with someone who knew exactly what we were going through. It was so helpful when we both had morning sickness (all day sickness) and our hubbies just didn't get it...

Me and you had the exact same theme for everything! :thumbsup2

Great minds think alike!

I wish I would have known you were doing Classic Winnie the Pooh. DS had the exact same bedding and I could have just sent it to you and could have saved that $100+!

Aw you're so sweet. It's funny...M actually bought the bedding for us!

I do hope you'll come back and share pics of your DD and share the story! :goodvibes

Here I am! :rotfl:

The One Where I HAD A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to find the time to write this post... but I'm finally back and so happy to share that DH and I welcomed our daughter on May 30!

I won't go into too much detail, but I will share a little bit of the story. I was due on Wednesday, May 27. The day before that I had a doctor appointment and had made no progress at all. I had an ultrasound and the tech estimated the baby's weight to be 8 lb 9 oz and the doctor said it was possible that she was too big for my pelvis and I may not go into labor on my own. She wanted me to be prepared for that possibility, and we discussed my options if that were the case. I left there feeling pretty upset.

My due date came and went with nothing but a ton of back pain which I hadn't had before. On Thursday the pain was even worse. I pretty much spent the day on the couch. But something exciting did happen that day. M had her baby! That night DH and I went to visit her and S at the hospital and meet their beautiful baby girl. S kept joking that there were still a few hours left in the day and I could still have my baby before midnight so they would have the same birthday :lmao:

That didn't happen, but he was close. I woke up Friday morning with bleeding and cramping and I had a feeling this was it! I already had a scheduled doctor appointment to check for progress and while I still wasn't dilated, they hooked me up to a monitor to check for contractions and check on baby and sure enough I was in labor! The doctor gave me the choice of going home or to the hospital and I chose home. I wanted to wait as long as I could to go in, but I needed to have a round of IV antibiotics at least 4 hours before the baby was born so I also needed to make sure to leave time for that.

I got back home around 1 pm and DH met me there. He picked up lunch and we watched TV while I bounced away on my yoga ball. After a few hours the contractions had become more painful and some were really close together which made me nervous, so at 5 pm we left for the hospital. I was 3 cm when we got there and by the time they were admitting me and I was signing all the consent forms I was in a lot of pain. I think all of my signatures were just scribbles because I seemed to have a contraction every time I was supposed to sign something

As the hours rolled by the pain just kept intensifying and I finally gave in and requested (screamed for) an epidural when I was 7 cm. Wow, was that the best decision I ever made. The pain disappeared and I was finally able to get some rest. My water broke shortly afterwards and the doctor said he would come back at 2 am to check on me. It was 11 pm and I was excited to get some sleep. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I just laid in bed awake, but at least relaxing. DH slept quite soundly. At 1:30 I told the nurse I was feeling a lot of pressure and she went to get the doctor. I started whispering DH's name to wake him up. No answer. So I called him louder. And louder. And finally when I was shouting, even though he was right next to me, he woke up! Poor guy must have been pretty tired... o_O

The doctor came in, said I was 10 cm, and a half hour later our baby girl was born!
(We'll just skip all the fun stuff that happened in between :rotfl2:)

Ryann Allison was born on May 30 at 2:03 am. 7 lb 14 oz 19 inches

Just a note, her name is pronounced just like "Ryan" but we liked how the extra N looks for a girl :goodvibes We are constantly being asked if it's pronounced Rye-Anne. We figured that might happen but decided to go ahead and spell it the way we liked. I hope she doesn't hate us for it one day.
Also, she was a lot smaller than predicted! Yay! Because if she was as big as they said I don't see how she would've possibly made it out! :rotfl:

Here are a few (lot) more pictures:

Eeek!! I was wondering when/if you were going to come back and tell us :hyper:

The One Where I HAD A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:hyper: :hyper:

The doctor gave me the choice of going home or to the hospital and I chose home.

I always think this is so funny and crazy. You have a human growing inside you and when the doctor asks if you want to go to the hospital or go home, EVERYONE chooses home! :confused3 I remember thinking pre-DS that those women were crazy to want to choose home and why not go to the hospital and be monitored?? Then I realized when having DS, that you could be in there FOREVERRRRR!

He picked up lunch and we watched TV while I bounced away on my yoga ball

My yoga ball saved my life ::yes::

I think all of my signatures were just scribbles because I seemed to have a contraction every time I was supposed to sign something

:rotfl2::rotfl:I hated that! I felt so rude saying, "Hold on, hold on!" while breathing through a contraction. So. many. papers. :headache:

Wow, was that the best decision I ever made.

:cloud9: It truly is a bit of heaven.

The doctor came in, said I was 10 cm, and a half hour later our baby girl was born!

:banana::cheer2:party:

We are constantly being asked if it's pronounced Rye-Anne

I have a cousin named Riann:thumbsup2 I would never think to pronounce it as 'Rye-ann'. :scratchin

So of course, I love all the pics but these were my favorites!

Thank you so much for coming back and telling us all about your story, I kept checking this thread to see if you were going to update. She's beautiful and i'm so happy for both you and DH! :goodvibes Now let's get your DD ready for WDW :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Congratulations!! What a cute little thing Ryann is  I'm sure you and DH are head over heels in love with her, I remember the moment I met oldest DS like it was yesterday! Speaking of, best decision you made choosing to go home rather than to the hospital lol. My water broke at 9a.m.; I showered and was at the hospital by 11 b/c I was just so nervous. Only 2 cm. dilated, they didn't give me the choice of going home so I ended up stuck in the hospital until I finally had DS at 1:01 pm THE NEXT DAY! :sad2: OMG it was so long and boring! I learned my lesson with younger DS and stayed home until my contractions were really close, and got to the hospital at 6cm.

Also, even if at some point during her teenage years Ryann curses you for giving her a name people regularly mispronounce (like say........Ariane ;)) she will eventually grow to love it and like that its uncommon. Plus, it's beautiful :goodvibes
Congratulations again and thank you so much for coming back and sharing your joy with us!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I've been waiting for your post to hear all the exciting news. Ryann is absolutely beautiful. Congrats Mommy!!!

I just found your trip report! We were there the same time as you. In fact our husbands were drinking around the world on the same day! Congrats on the little one! 2 1/2 was the age our daughter was last August for her first trip and it was perfect!

I also just found your trip report and read it from start to finish and Loved it!!! :-)

And congrats on your new baby girl!!! She's adorable!!! Love the name and the spelling!!!

Great trip report! Can't wait to read your next one! Congrats on being a parent. There is nothing better.

Ooops, so I just realized that I missed your last few updates, since I was on my trip. Sorry! :o

He seems to think that the entire trip would be lost on a 2.5 - 3 year old but I'd hope that once future DD is closer to that age he will feel differently.
Just make sure you teach her all things Disney and he will never be able to deny little 2-year-old Ryann the chance to hug her heroes. ::yes:: Just show him some videos of toddlers meeting characters (I have some if you need them ;)) and he will realize that it's all about watching your child become filled with pure joy. :goodvibes

THERE WERE CHARACTERS EVERYWHERE! :hyper:
:faint: WOW!!!! How cool! I have never heard of anything like that, but how PERFECT! So glad you were there at the right time! :cool1:

In the meantime, if you have your own TR that I'm not already following, please make sure that I know about it so I can keep in touch.
If you need to find anything from me, I keep my signature updated with the links. :goodvibes

Your mom has AMAZING talent! :worship: She did a fantastic job on Ryann's room! Love it all! :lovestruc

The One Where I HAD A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
party: Yay, congratulations!!! So happy that all went well!

She is gorgeous!

I can't believe she's already a month old! Time is flying. I love spending my days with her. Being a mommy is incredible.
Get used to how fast it goes...it really does. It seems like I was just where you are and now I have a nearly-3-year-old. :faint: And you're right - being a mommy is just the best! :goodvibes Congratulations again!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I've been waiting for this update :) Little Ryann is absolutely adorable and precious. God Bless!

Oops, it's 7 months later and I never came back and replied to the kind messages you all left for me! Thank you so much for all the kind words! I read them back when you posted them but never actually found the time to reply. Well, here I am! Better late than never... right? :rolleyes1

Well...to update... I now have a 8 month old and it just keeps getting better and better. I don't know where the time went though. In Disney news, I somehow talked DH into taking a quick trip to Disneyland in April when we go to California for a wedding. So my dream of taking DD to Disney is coming true much sooner than I thought it would! :hyper:

:goodvibes Now let's get your DD ready for WDW :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Who would've thought I'd be taking her all the way to Cali to DLR first before WDW!!! Now I need you to tell me exactly what I need to do at DL with Ryann! You are the DL master with a little one! :worship:
Congratulations!! What a cute little thing Ryann is  I'm sure you and DH are head over heels in love with her, I remember the moment I met oldest DS like it was yesterday! Wow, yeah, that's a long time to be in the hospital in labor! Showing up at 6cm the second time around was a better plan! :thumbsup2 Thank you for the kind words about her name. I had a lot of doubts in the beginning but now she's totally a "Ryann" and I can't imagine having named her anything else.

What a cutie!!!!

Thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I've been waiting for your post to hear all the exciting news. Ryann is absolutely beautiful. Congrats Mommy!!!

Thanks! Oh my gosh, I have so much catching up to do on TR's! I will get to yours..eventually :goodvibes

I just found your trip report! We were there the same time as you. In fact our husbands were drinking around the world on the same day! Congrats on the little one! 2 1/2 was the age our daughter was last August for her first trip and it was perfect!

That's such a funny coincidence! Did the storm interfere with his drinking around the world too? :rotfl2: Thank you for telling me 2.5 is the perfect age. I'm still pushing DH for a trip before she turns 3.

I also just found your trip report and read it from start to finish and Loved it!!! :-)

And congrats on your new baby girl!!! She's adorable!!! Love the name and the spelling!!!

Thank you so much for all those compliments! :goodvibes

Thank you so much! I think that going in April he will see that she's not too far off from really being able to enjoy herself at WDW. She'll only be 10 months when we go to DL which is a little young to really get what's going on, but I truly believe that by 2 she will be able to really enjoy it. I have at least 2 TRs from you to catch up on at this point..maybe more :rotfl:

Great trip report and congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. I love her name :)
Thank you so much!

Welcome back! Don't worry on my TRs...I write them SO slowly that you probably haven't missed much. :rotfl: Also, we just got back from a Disneyland trip a few days ago - I think you will have a GREAT time there - what a perfect way to introduce Ryan to Disney! I doubt I'll start that TR before your trip, but let me know if you have any questions. :goodvibes

Oh yay! How fun!!! If you don't mind, I would love to hear about it (maybe a sneak preview of the TR to come!! ;) )
Where did you stay? How long were you there? Any must-dos or tips??

Holy 8 months! I've thought of you from time to time :) but didn't realize 8 months have passed! It's awesome, isn't it :cloud9: And that's so wonderful about your upcoming trip to Disneyland. We took youngest DS to WDW for the first time when he was 11 months old. While he doesn't remember it he used to love looking at the pictures and it was so much fun watching him with the characters at that age. Don't regret taking him that young one bit!

Good to hear from you again!
