Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Thanks for posting......so looking forward to this opening up........ I had heard second week in June too.......

I'm so pumped for this attraction!! It has the potential to be my favorite attraction in the Orlando area. I hope it lives up to the hype!!

Is this ride going to be like spiderman and transformers or more like the mummy with an actual coaster in it?

Anyone know if this will be an Express Pass attraction?

They aren't usually at the beginning. Forbidden Journey and Gringotts are still both non-express pass rides. Rip Ride Rockit took a couple of years before it took express.

Screamscape.com has a whole page devoted to it including construction updates. From what they're saying I think it'll be more like the Mummy- it's supposedly an indoor & outdoor track (outdoor can be bypassed if the weather's nasty) where you're riding in explorer jeeps and being attacked. And a huge state of the art Kong that is going to make Disco Betty Yeti look ancient.

Like Dinosaur at AK? Oh I hope so! One more ride I can do!

Not sure how active the ride vehicle will be because it is huge but it is supposed to be on some sort of base allowing it to move around. Height limit is low, so it won't be as crazy.

Here's an idea of the ride vehicles

I noticed the USO site description for Kong says "best for teens and adults" but did not list a height restriction. The only other rides that I found that didn't say "best for family" were the coasters and Dr. Doom. I hope this will be something my 8 year old will be able to ride.

Quite small people can still ride things like Mummy and RRR that say best for teens.........I know we had a 5/6 year old beside us in The Mummy before.......so at 8 I would think he'd be fine with Kong.

I have a feeling that they list it like that due to the possible creatures and possible scare just like mummy.
