Has anyone ever used Booking.com to book their hotel room? If so what were your experiences. Thanks.

I have used them a couple of times for hotel stays round the world. Never for hotels in Florida. I like them because many hotels allow cancellation so it's a good way of reserving something but know you can cancel if you want without charge. This doesn't apply to all hotels on the site so if you think you might cancel your booking check first.

Have used Expedia a few times for both onsite and offsite hotels in Florida.

I have generally found that they are the same price as booking.com but I have had luck getting greater cutback through quidco on Expedia hence making them cheaper. However if booking.com had a cheaper upfront price I would book that as cashback can be declined so I treat it as a bonus.

Hotels.com are same company, same prices, same cashback but you also get 1 free night every 10 paid for.

I used Booking.com 18 months ago for Wyndham Bonnet Creek, no problem at all. Saying that, it was the only time I found them the cheapest, always find better elsewhere

Used them for non-Florida, no issues with them at all. Worth noting it's not always free cancellation

Didnt realise that Hotels.com were same partent as Expedia....seems like competition is reducing (though this might have been a long time).
I used to like HOtels4u -part of Thomas cook but always better prices....but now they use booking.com instead

Expedia are in the process of buying Orbitz in the US too. Competition is reducing as they own Travelocity too!

Competition is definitely not there for hotels like it used to be. Our next trip is costing more than expected(Deep South)
Now looking for Sept Oct for NYC & Orlando, no deals at all.

Yes definitely not as many deals. Used Booking.com quite a lot, always for Majorca. Like that you dont have to cancel till day or two before. Going to Rome tomorrow and for first time in over 20 years I booked a package. With British Airways holidays. Alot cheaper than booking separately and it was cheaper to go Business class than economy so very happy.

My friend booked a BA package to Greece. So cheap and they are very good to work with at their call centre too
