Hey all!

So, you gotta love it when you AAA travel agent signs you up but isnt available to answer what I think is an easy question. So riddle me this --- if my friends daughter, who is traveling with us, JUST HAS to get to eat at Cinderellas Royal Table during our stay December 5-10 at some point ... and I am staying on site ....... when should I be armed and ready to jump on the computer or placing a call with a live agent to make a reservation?

I get that its at some 180 day mark -- fine... what i don't get is how in the heck does that work? Does the computer go by your timezone or do people traveling from other time zones get the jump on us here in the U.S and therefore it gets booked before you can log in at your time? I am sorry if I sound wound up, I have an enormous obligation to get a reservation to this place and I have allowed myself to read threads about how hard it is to book and now I am wanting to make sure that I do not procrastinate and I know how to go about it the best way,. Thanks in advance.

It's based on the eastern time zone. Have the day, time and number in your party all loaded in the CRT page ready to go and click "find a table" when the booking window opens. It is not 6 am in all time zones - just ET. And keep in mind if you are staying on property you can make reservations at 180 days + up to 10 days of your trip.

6 AM EST (I think calling may be 7, but don't hold me to that). Also don't get too worked up. I made our CRT later and got my time and day. And a lot of times people will cancel and such leading up, so if for some reason you miss it, keep logging on and checking. I wouldn't count on it, but don't lose your mind.

So to be clear you can book it at 180 days from your check in date, even if you are not going to CRT on your first day.

Ok perfect - 180 days before and no need to feel like I need to be up at midnight logging on? It sounds like it wont let me make reservation until 6am online anyways, am I right?

Also, do all restaurants participate with dining plan? Specifically Sci Fi Theatre?

not ALL restaurants participate (the ones at Swan and Dolphin don't) but yes, Sci Fi does.

Since CRT seems to be such a huge deal to your party, you shouldn't have that much trouble getting it at 180, but some hints to help:

Don't restrict yourself to just one meal to look for: CRT serves 3 meals a day and princesses are there for all of them.

Don't restrict yourself to just one day. Have a couple of days that you might be able to work it in. The later in your trip you are looking, the more likely you might be to find what you are looking for.

Don't restrict yourself to a certain time.

Yes you can make your reservation at 6am (in the eastern time zone - you will have to adjust time if you live elsewhere).
Most restaurants participate in dining plan - Sci-fi does

I'm sure you know this, but don't forget, Cinderella's Royal table is 2 credits on the dining plan. Also, make sure you have your credit card info stored in MDE BEFORE your booking window opens to save time. One more thing, there have been reports that people have been unable to book CRT online and had to call. Good Luck!

Nope, it's 6AM if you are an early riser. If it is life and death must do, I would get up for it. If not, take your chance. Just for comparison, I can book June 11 (120 days away, and a Saturday) for breakfast or lunch right now.

for CRT?

Early december (that is when I am planning to go too) is a pretty low crowd time too so that bodes well for all of us!

and, if you already have a dining plan on your resort reservation - they should not ask you for any prepayment. Although sometimes the online system does not function like it is supposed to and it makes you pay anyway. If this happens you might want to call or you might want to pay and then get refunded later.

Yup. Just jumped on and checked for the fun of it (it was a completely random day).

I don't plan on CRT but hopefully that bodes well for all of my reservations going as planned!

Good luck. I know our January trip, I was blown away how many ADR were available. I mean, the week before I could grab Askerhaus, Yachtsman, or le Cellier (also a historically low crowd time).

I was able to book CRT for a late lunch for this March at about 160 days out. I then changed the day at about 60 days out. No problems at that point, but I would not recommend waiting that close to make ADR's if you can do it earlier. I tried to move the reservation to an earlier point in the day today because I reserved Club Villain. I was unable to make any moves. I would make your ADR's at 180 days or very close to that point. But don't be in a total panic. Hope all goes well for you and that you have a wonderful trip.

CRT is a coveted ADR but it is not an impossible on to secure, thankfully. I do book it first most of the time though.

If you are using the DDP, I would suggest that you go for dinner. It is 2 credits on the plan, no matter what meal you choose. I also suggest that if you think you will want an early morning entry into the MK one day, book a prepark opening ADR at BOG. This is a lovely Castle and breakfast is 1 QS credit on the DDP. It is a good use of credits, and you can get into the park early without using a TS credit to do so.

A suggestion: book it for the very end of your trip. Fewer people will have had access to the dates that are later in the calendar.

And consider Aukerhaus and BOG as a Plan B if you don't get CRT.
