As the title says really,
I found some flights direct for under £350 on their dreamliner.
I know you have to pay for luggage and meals so it brought it up to £400 for a direct flight.

Now I'm wondering if anyone has flown with them,
Now the boys are older I'm trying to just go tue cheapest way possible for our September dates which is around 20th for 16 nights.
I'm willing to fly even from Manchester if price is right, as it's under 3 hours drive.
From us in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.

My boys do absolutely need a plane with seat bk TV though, and to be fair so do I lol.
Thanks

I know this isn't much help, but we've booked with them to fly to LA in September. The price was so much better than the others. I looked up photos of the inside of the plane and they did seem to have individual TV's in the seats and their website says about their inflight entertainment options so I'm quietly optimistic!

I know the inside of the planes actually look amazing lol.
My kids drink like little fish when flying and so I'm a little worried about how much that would cost me haha.

We always take our own headphones and I take blankets for all of us too,
I hate the unknown!

When I booked they were doing an offer where basically if you bought your luggage in advance you got your meals for free which seemed like a pretty good offer. Other than that I was planning on stocking up on bottles of water and stuff in the airport.

We flew with them back from NY. The plane was great, seat back TV good. Food we paid for in advance, and it was fine, just what you'd expect from Virgin. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again especially if the price is right! Best feature though was the adjustable tinting windows instead of shutters ....:drive::drive:

That's a Dreamliner feature, if only it was retro fitted to older planes!! :)

Can I ask who you booked through?
As I can't find the place where you add on luggage etc on kayak,
So was wondering about looking for flights else where with them.
Thanks

We flew with them. The flights are much of a muchness for us. We didnt book food at all and took meal deals on the plane.

We were actually given some left over free food and it was awful. We didnt eat it. So glad we didnt pay for food.

I remember water was free but nothing else was!

Yes we flew economy and to us it was as comfortable as any other flight we've had.

I cant remember the TVS to be honest as I never bother watching them. I'll ask my daughter when she gets home from school.

I would use them again and have no worries about doing so :0) xx

I flew to NY with them and they were really good, nice clean plane, decent entertainment and not a lot of leg room though!

We have flown with Norwegian Airline and their Dreamliner once.
I would say that they are approved. Of course you get what you pay for, but I would fly with them again.
I don't remember what they had on their tv-system, but there was much to choose from if I don't remember wrong.

We flew with them to LA last October and found them very good. The plane was very clean, the legroom was as good or better than VA / BA. We paid upfront for a meal and it was good - in the context of economy airline food. I took water from the airport and snacks from home, more as boredom alleviators. The entertainment system worked very well. The film choice was good enough, but more older favourites that I was happy to watch again or had missed first time round than very recent new releases (My DD was delighted to watch Inside Out again and about 20 episodes of Big Bang Theory). There was also unsurprisingly a fair bit of Scandinavian tv and music which was fun to dip into. Each seat has a USB port to supply power to your own tablet too if that works better for you. I found the seats as comfortable as any, and noticed less annoyance from the people behind kicking seat / putting tray up and down than I usually do - but that may have just been coincidence.

I would definitely fly with them again. Sometimes its better to be expecting zero in the way of service and delighters rather than be expecting something special from VA which you don't really get and end up disappointed?

The only caution is they don't have spare planes so if there is a fault with yours you will likely be delayed longer than with say BA that has a much bigger fleet.

Hope that reassures you.
