Had a 2 bedroom garden/pool view booked for 5 nights in May. Checked this morning and a 2 bedroom standard view at the Grand Floridian was available. Thought about it all morning, and just bit the bullet and switched. Tell me what I need to know about the resort. We've only been to the resort to eat.

The rooms are quite large with one of the nicest kitchen layouts. My personal preference would be to request high floor looking towards the main hotel - then you'll see the hotel, some of 7 Seas and the monorail. The beach pool is very close to the villas and there is a snack bar there that does a few hot items like burgers as well as drinks. The GF spa is out the front door of the villas and across the driveway and the gas BBQ's are located there as well as a small sports court. You'll get all transportation over at the main hotel buildings - the boat launches to MK are about as far from the Villas as one can get. Poly boat launches might be just as close! And that's another nice thing about VGF - if you walk the other way around 7 Seas you have all the dining of the Poly available too.
