Characters Leaving Epcot

Disney Hipster recently confirmed "with good authority" that Aurora, Chip & Dale, and Winnie the Pooh were leaving Epcot on February 14th. I know other websites (tpt for sure) were speculating on these rumors, and I just want to know what everyone here thinks will become of the M&Gs. There's some chatter on Twitter about these changes having to do with the Character Spot expansion, which would make sense (I guess?), but I want to know what everyone else thinks of it.

My apologies if a thread has already been made around this subject.
 
I hadn't seen this anywhere yet, but I'd have to say I would be totally bummed by this. We like stumbling across the characters while in the World Showcase.
 
I don't think it's going to be all the characters, just these few. I'm a little torn. I loved Christopher Robin's room and Aurora's gazebo M&G (though I wouldn't mind if they gave it to Belle once she left!), but I think they're gonna put something better in their place.
 
chip and dale and Winnie is ok with me. They are found in lost of the other parks.. HOWEVER Aurora already got kicked out fairytale hall so it kinda sucks that now she is leaving Epcot. If they get rid of Snow White I WILL revolt.

Aurora still meets at the magic kingdom near Town Hall.

Aurora and Snow White are supposed to go back to FTH when the A&E M&G opens in Norway. Thanks goodness, they are two of our musts and it's aggravating. Each trip one or the other is so limited in time we miss them. They belong in FTH, not some side corner in Town Square.

It is so true! snow white and aurora are amazing and they are actually really popular too! the only good thing about Aurora being out in town hall is that if your lucky she will watch the parade with you! Its amazing!!!!
 
This is lame. The husband and I love eating and drinking our way through WS and our 4 year old daughter enjoys the characters. I love Winnie the Pooh in England. It's such a neat fit. My daughter's first princess meet and greet was at age 2 in Germany with Snow White. They better leave her alone!

Them going back to fairytale hall is a rumored it's not confirmed.

True - which is why I said "supposed".
As is most every thing we discuss here.
But it came from a MK Fantasyland manager not a blogger.

While it may have came from a manager things often change frequently within Disney.

Agreed.

I would be the first to say that any information passed on is not confirmed or fact until it is actually open and operating. I believe I have said that here many times. In the end too much information passed on as "confirmed' is from blogs and outside sources. I would consider an inside source slightly more credible than an outside source but in the end, nothing is anything until it is something tangible.

All we know for sure is they are building a Frozen Meet & Greet and a Frozen Ride in Epcot and that is expected to open Spring 2016. That is all Disney has told us. Anything else is conjecture or the passing of info from "sources."
 
I enjoy meeting characters in all of the parks. Now I see that for sure Aurora, Winnie n Tigger and Chip n Dale are no longer meeting in Epcot.
I've had some wonderful encounters with Chip n Dale in Epcot. Anytime I have seen Tigger and Pooh the lines are never super long.
It was a nice alternative to meeting them in MK. Will miss seeing them in Epcot.
