Which resort?

We (family of 4, two dds both age 10) are looking into a split stay wdw and universal in late August. Last year we did 3 nights universal staying at Royal Pacific. It was kind of a mixed trip for us (some good things, some not so good) and dh and I were not planning to go back so soon... But the die-hard Harry potter fans (our dds) really want to go back

I was thinking we'd try Hard Rock, but the prices I'm getting are significantly higher than the other two. However, Portofino is only $30/night more than royal pacific. (Which is still a lot lower than HRH). our issues last year weren't hotel problems, it was fine, but we weren't blown away by it (Royal Pacific) either.

It looks like portofino has bigger rooms and a pool slide, but royal pacific is a shorter walk. Am I missing anything else important?

Absolutely........why not, it's only 30 a night more.......beautiful hotel, rooms are bigger......you may prefer it.

Don't concern yourself with the longer walk, it's not that far.......or you can use the boats of course.

Thanks - I wasn't sure if there was some other issue I wasn't thinking about. And I did realize my math is a bit off, but it is close enough (not enough of a difference to change my mind).

We love portofino bay the best, stayed at all resorts and keep coming back to PB. Our son loves it also. Love the boat ride from PB to Citywalk we never walk.
