Military discount in cabins?

Some family wants to join us on our September trip. We are going to tent camp but they are too high maintenance for that. Can I get them a cabin at the military rate?

Fort Wilderness doesn't participate in military discounts. They would have to call and find out which hotels are on discount during their stay in order to use it. It is only one per level.

If they are looking to get a military discount, Shades of Green is the best way to go. Of course it is a 1/4 mile down the road from the Polynesian.

It never has that I've seen. It is pretty hard to get a discount at the campground at all.

You can get military rates for the cabins. Have a TA do the reservation, but you have to have your name on it.

Campsites, no. Cabins, there's a discount offer for nearly all of 2016 already out there.

On the same Special Offers page of the DisneyWorld website is a special ticket offer for Military in 2016.

Both offers stop just short of Christmas 2016 and don't include the week before and week after Easter.

PS - note in the fine print that Military ID must be presented at check-in and either the military member or spouse must stay in the room...

I have gotten several mil discounts at the cabins. However, they run it like the other discounts. They have an predetermined amount and when they are gone, they are gone.

I know. It's just sad that those of us who serve ( and honorably) get little more than a DD 214. Even "Veterans Preference" for jobs doesn't go very far. Oh well. I guess that's life. Most don't appreciate what you do when you are in and the same when you get out (except maybe once a year on Veterans day. ) That is of course unless you need to protect their ......

My boyfriend is a vet and has received a military discount for our upcoming trip (we will be staying in the cabins). Just ask :)

Is he a "Retired" VET (Medical or 20+ years) or just a regular VET who served his time (Less than 20) and got an honorable discharge?

Veterans get respect from us! :love1:But I agree alot of the discounts these days are for active duty.

I don't mind that AD gets the discounts and veterans don't but I do get annoyed when places advertise a Veterans discount but it's only those veterans that have "Retired".

Not that I need a discount, but, hey, I'd like it too. :)
