Adorable Stateroom Hostess on Disney Dream

We just completed our 4th Disney Cruise Line cruise, and I figured I'd share a fun story about being a same-sex couple on a cruise.

The first night our hostess converted the sofa into a bed for the evening. She probably saw two men were in the room and we didn't get a chance to meet her in the afternoon to introduce ourselves, so she made the sofa into a bed just in case. We found her in the hallway and introduced ourselves and told her that she didn't need to convert the sofa anymore.

The next night, not only was our sofa still a sofa as requested, but she made two swan towel animals with the heads facing each other to make a heart and sprinkled rose petals on the bed. Very sweet!

Jumping on this late and we also just returned from the Disney Dream, my first cruise, my girlfriend's 4th with Disney. Your hostess didn't happen to be Sue (short for a longer name I can't spell), did it?

No. Her name wasn't Sue. I don't remember her name, but it wasn't a common Western name.
I'm sure that most, if not all the stateroom hosts are wonderful. It must be hard for them since they don't necessarily know in advance who is traveling as a couple and who is traveling as friends. I thought it was nice that she went out of her way to make sure we knew our relationship was welcome.
