October 10 2017 is our 25 wedding anniversary.im trying to talk hubby to go and get remarried on the beach or a waterfall.we do I start looking for airplane tickets and a place to stay.never fly.so all new to me..any help you can give I would really love thanks.

Tuesday 3 pm est 50-100 days until you travel. But I can never wait that long I usually get mine 5 months ahead of time to get the flight I want. Stay at aulani there is a really nice wedding chapel next door.

We booked our flights for September 2016 in mid-November 2015, so about 10 months out. Not long after fares were released for the time we are traveling. I have fare alerts set up and the prices haven't changed really at all.

Outrigger Waikiki Beach and Outrigger Reef do complimentary vow renewals on the beach for guests. I think it is only on certain days

I would think about the vow renewal at the Outrigger and then move over to Aulani for a few days as a "second Honeymoon"! You can rent DVC points to make it easier financially or Disney seems to put out seasonal promos of 4 nights gets you 25% off your stay, 5 nights gets you 30% off. Dont plan around discounts tho, you never know when they will stop doing it. Set your self up for alerts from sites like "Secret Flying" blog or more traditional ones like Kayak or Orbitz. You can also use the ITA Matrix to get an idea of pricing for your times up to almost a year away

Just to speak to what a good value renting points is, we had our TA hold a regular hotel room at Aulani when we booked our entire trip back in November, just in case I was unsuccessful at renting points. It was $3500 for 6 nights I believe. Well, I was able to rent a standard studio and it saved us $1900! Couldn't believe what a difference that made. Plus, we'll be in a studio so we'll have the kitchenette area as well.

Not to hijack, but does anyone know if guests staying on rented DVC points get free parking as well? I know it's a DVC perk but wasn't sure if it was for members only. Because that would be yet another savings!

I rented points last year for our Aulani stay, and we got some of the DVC perks...including free parking.

We rented points for our last Aulani stay in 2014 and got parking included as well. Now maybe someone else can tell me if you get the tokens for the laundry machines as a point renter or is that perk just for owners...I have read you can get the tokens from the front desk

Good question - I'd like to know the same! I've also heard about the tokens.

I can let you know in a few days however we are Dvc members so not sure if it is different when renting pts. I would assume if they give renters parking like members they would give laundry tokens also!!
