Hello Out There From TV Land,

Danny here, wanting to talk to you guys about one of my favorite recent Disney shows.

Its name: "Hello Ladies."

For those who don't know, this 2013 sitcom was a joint distribution effort between HBO and Disney, with the HBO Television Network airing the series from September 29, 2013 - November 17, 2013; despite its cancellation, a made-for-TV movie, "Hello Ladies: The Movie," aired on HBO on November 22, 2014, picking up where the series left off.

The series was created by British writer Steve Merchant, who based the show on his stand-up comedy routine titled "Hello Ladies" about his real-life search for a wife.

Soon after seeing the comedy special "Hello Ladies Live," execs at HBO hired American writers Gene Stupnitsky & Lee Eisenberg to adapt the stand-up special into a TV show; because of Gene & Lee's overall deal with ABC Studios (Disney's Television Division), "Hello Ladies" became a joint venture between HBO and Disney's ABC Studios.

Personally, I LOVED "Hello Ladies" despite the show not being renewed for a 2nd season, and here's why, because like Steve's character Stuart Pritchard, I too have had hoped-for relationships with women end on an unhappy note.

In June 2015, 6 months after the movie version of "Hello Ladies" aired on HBO, HBO Home Entertainment released "Hello Ladies: The Complete Series and The Movie" on DVD.

"Hello Ladies" was produced by Four Eyes Entertainment, Quantity Entertainment & ABC Studios and is Distributed by Buena Vista Television.

I enjoyed the series too, I was sorry to see it go. Had no idea there was a Disney connection.
