The Villas vs WL Room

We always stay at WL in a regular room. This year we received an offer to upgrade to the Villa at WL.
Please tell me if its worth it.
I so do not want to be away from everything ....
Pros and cons everybody that's stayed in both or one or the other. Thanks

Not an upgrade right now. Most of the big construction projects are happening near the Villas, especially pool construction. View is not a bookable category at the Villas, so if you switch you have a good likelihood of your balcony overlooking the pool and pool building construction.

Let me clarify..... It's actually cheaper to stay in the villas than the room we usually stay in. So I'm trying to decide if it's too "far" away from all the hinges we love about WL as far as the pools and the cafe

You will be further away, and walking paths to reach the cafe and feature pool may be closed due to construction.

The only way I would move would be if they were offering a one bedroom villa. Short of that, I would definitely not take it due to the construction over there.

we have stayed at both (before construction). Honestly, it's really a very short walk over to the villas. If you can get a 1 bedroom there is SO much more space and a full kitchen.

It is definitely a 1 bedroom so that definitely makes me feel more confident about taking the offer. It's actually cheaper than the room we originally booked as part of the Disney Visa Rewards offer.

A one bedroom is a nice upgrade. A villa studio at WL is not. I think they are the smallest studios on property and if it were up to me I keep the main building.

As others have pointed out though...the place is about to be ripped to oblivion.

BKT studios are smaller.

I wouldn't take it. You'll be dealing with construction noise and looking at construction. There's a reason they're "upgrading" you.

View or no view, I would take a 1 bedroom villa over a regular room in a heart beat. Kitchen, jacuzzi, king size bed, separate room for the kids to sleep in. I would bet the construction noise wouldn't be going on all night. I never even looked out the window of my VWL room.
