Any Husbands here do all the planning?

Thank God for DVC! Before DVC I was the one who stayed up in the middle of the night to do the laundry while the family slept! I would listen to the moms/wives complain about their husbands sleeping or having fun while they did laundry. They'd totally forget about me and then it would become very awkward for them when they realized I was there quietly folding my laundry! Lol!

Just finished planning our summer vacation plans to WDW! Plane tickets, park tickets and 17 days at Poly, BCV and BLT! Location, location, location, baby! All that is left is to set up the fast passes!

Well Hot Dog!!!
So glad to see this thread has some legs......
Cheers to the husband planners!!!

I am another husband that does all the planning; air, reservations, ADRs, FPs. My wife doesn’t quite get the “DVC point system”, and really doesn’t want to learn. I do asked her if she wants to eat at a particular restaurant or not. But I’ve done such a good job in the past that now she just lets me plan everything. We make a great pair. She take notes on our trips on what works and what doesn’t, so we never make the same mistakes again, which a few anyway.

AND, if wash needs to be done, I am the one that does it.

We are not DVC, but after 28 years in the Army I am the one that handles the logistical planning for vacations. I try to get as much input as I can from my wife, but for the most post I'm the one planning and tracking things.

Yup just because its Disney doesn't mean us Dads don't plan. I have done all the planning up to now. I just need to know when she has holidays at work. The tide has to change for this March 2016. HAHAH she is going with her sister and the kids, she now has to start looking at where to eat, what days to go to what park and what to do at those parks. I did help here with the resorts and the days,(doing a split Poly/AKL). Her 180 days is just a few days away, we will see. She's shaking, but has started to read alittle more and now understands how much goes into picking the right day, right park, right dinner.
I am hoping that now she doesn't yell at me for being on here so much.:love1:

Update, shes now inside of 40 days and shes nervous. Even though I have now planned her rooms, TSmeals, FPs, and other events. My 5dd has told her shes in charge since she was just with me in the fall and know every thing.
We have sat down and explained that she has lots of flexibility in the the plan. Not rushing her or her sister to just enjoy.
I know it will work out, and hopefully she will come back and be able to help plan in the future.

I do all of the planning for the flights and rooms. After that, my wife and kids take over the planning of the FP's and dining reservations using MDE.

I do all the planning for our Disney stuff.

Of course this week I was reminded of the price of laziness: we are going next weekend for my birthday and I just made our dining reservations last night.... Pretty slim pickings for Valentine's Day...

Sigh... Of course the hubs pointed out that I said last year that I would book earlier when the same thing happened... Oh well. Lessons are repeated until learned.

FIVE DAYS until birthday vacay!!!!!

Count me in.

We decide when and where together. After that, if is mostly me.

Once I have the park plans, I run the dining plans by my DW. I do a lot of research as things are always changing at the world. It also make it easier to call an audible when you know all the options.

I have been doing the planning for our reservations and how we are going down since we first started going to WDW in the 70's. The only thing I do not do since the magic bands started is what they want to do for our FP's. They also usually pick some of the restaurants to eat at if they know we need reservations to get in, but they do leave making the reservations for them up to me.

I do 100% of the planning. If I had to wait for my wife to get it done, we probably would have lost 75% of our points over the years. Even if I say to her, "you get to pick the where and when for this year in the future", she cannot decide on anything until it is too late to even attempt to use points ie she decides she wants to stay at Boardwalk with 1 or 2 months notice, and it can only be this one week, which happens to fall in Food and Wine. I am always planning at least two to three years out though so there is usually plenty of time for her to approve/disapprove of my plans well before it comes time to actually book anything.

OM gosh! This is so funny. This is exactly my husband, only he can't make up his mind or put his mind to a thing until it's right in front of him! Needless to say, I do all the vacation planning, I know the points system to a fault and I make the very best use our of points, as well as being able to look 2 years ahead, know our vacation schedules and I book 11 months out to the day!

Yes, I do all the planning, paying, travel arrangements, driving when we get a rental car, buying groceries, weighing the luggage, magical express, checking in, checking out.....

Hey I'm getting screwed.
