My daughter uses oxygen, at home we have a full size concentrator and use tanks on the go. Does MA typically cover rental costs for a portable concentrator ?If not, what price range should I be planning for?

Your best answer for that would probably be your current provider. You will need to work with them to help get everything set up for your travel and when you get there in any case and they usually will be helping with figuring out billing.

Even if it doesn't answer your exact question, there is a post on page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread that should answer any other things you think about. If it doesnt, please feel free to ask - there should be posters who traveled with oxygen around this board.

If you're flying, make sure you read the TSA regulations. Ask your physician if you can get a portable condenser for travel purposes if your doctor writes the order as a necessity you'll have a better chance at having your insurance pay for at least a portion of it.
Portable condensers can be expensive to rent and buy, but if it's something you might plan on using more than once it will be a better deal to look into getting one you can own.
Oxygentogo is a good rental company They charge $325 for the first week, you can find their paperwork here.

Again for flying make sure you contact the airline and fill out the paperwork required needed with them too. They require you have so many batteries depending on the length of your flight, which might cause you additional rental fees if you need to rent more.
The portable condensers are SO worth it though, it's so much more convenient!
