Garden Grocer still the best?

Garden Grocer does offer a discount, and the earlier you book them the more it is. Order at least 2 months out and save 10%.

Saving 10% is a tease compared to what they are marking up products. I can buy a gift certificate from We Go Shop and save money too, plus they will take my coupons if I use them, plus they will shop where I want them too. To each their own :-)

Yup. I would rather pick my items from a provided list than have to tell another service where I want them to go, and then somehow know what products they carry. That might work if I wanted something from a grocery store I am familiar with, but that doesn't work for me when ordering groceries for delivery in Orlando.

It works for me.......you list the brand and size you want and say they can substitute if they carry another brand that is similar.
They have even called to get approval on getting a different brand item. Very nice people.

I used GG 3 or 4 times, but their inflated prices and limited items to pick from made me look somewhere else.
Have used wegoshop 4-5 times now and happy with them. Using them again in a couple of weeks

Garden Grocer is great - I would definitely use them again! Make sure you order 60+ days in advance, a 10% discount can go a long way, especially for such a big order!

Well I even thought about how the stores at the resorts sell cases of water, but now I have to lug it to my room. So much easier to pay the little extra for the convenience. And my order is almost to $700 so far for th drill team. Holy Cow, right?

I'd rather pay a little more, and know what brands I am getting. If I order Chobani yogurt no way do I want Oikos yogurt. Or whatever else they may substitute. I guess it is a good thing there are 2 different places, right?:)

For me the cost is well worth it. I don't want to have to haul my apples and bananas down to Florida. :cutie:

i agree but when southwest gives you 2 free checkin bags, fill them with food on the way to WDW, eat it, then fill them back up with souvenirs on the way back home. It's a no brainer. Apples, oranges and harder fruit will NOT get ruined in check in bags. And make sure you have hard cases, not the fabric ones that can get crushed.

$1.29 per apple vs 99c/lb apples....it's quite easy math that GG is a ripoff

No it isn't easy math. Convenience has a worth, at least to me it does. All of my luggage is soft sided, so I wouldn't think of hauling any food that could be easily ruined in transit.

Agreed. Garden Grocer is easily worth the premium for us. That premium is less than my hourly rate. :)

Back in november publix started selling groceries online. Does anyone know if they deliver to the resorts or is that still exclusive of the third party people who shop at publix for you. I know garden grocer stopped shipping to non-disney resorts.

Although I agree that GG is easy / convenient, I have a huge issue with my experience in December. I ordered all items that are nut-free and they substituted "nutter butters" without even notifying me. My son is deathly allergic to nuts and I found this to be unacceptable to not even be notified. Was it a huge deal? No because the box is contained so I didn't have to worry about cross contamination, but I wasn't happy.

Used them this past summer for the first time. Everything went well no problems at all.

I used wegoshops for 7 trips and was happy. on my last encounter 2 years ago I had horrible customer service initially with Amy' s husband. I did place the order and after a nasty follow up call with Amy herself, I cancelled. I will never use them again, nor will I recommend them.
I have now used Garden Grocer twice and had outstanding customer service. All of the fresh food was fresh, produce was great & I was very happy
Good Luck

I had a similar experience with WeGoShop on our last trip. The shopper herself was wonderful and I was happy with what I received, but I won't use them again because I found the husband/owner team unpleasant to deal with to get the order set up. I'm going to back to trying GardenGrocer where I just order online and it arrives.

We had a similar experience about 18 months ago and I'm not sure we will use them again. We thought everything was fine and had no issue until we had a rude phone call with Amy's husband. We have used them with no issues several times before that so I'm not sure what happened. We also got a follow up call from Amy but she didn't help. We didn't complain or disagree about anything so her call was out of the blue and she basically explained why her husband was right. I'm not sure what we're going to do for our next trip. The two phone calls left a bad taste but before that we were very pleased.

I totally agree. I have no idea what happened that day. Amy also called & defended his behavior. All I am certain of is I will not be treated that way. I will never use them again nor will I ever recommend them again.

Has anyone used Orlando Grocery Express? I do see a little mark up on items, but I found a $7 coupon off a $40 order and free delivery.
