Just wanted to know do they allow you to take a carry on like a backpack full of unopened snacks and cereal? I was wanting to have it for at our resort so we wont have to buy any since we wont have a car.

Yes you can as long as it's one of your "carryon" bags and fits above or under the seat. TSA will give you a hard time maybe (cause they do about everything) but as long as not fluids they should be fine)

It doesn't have to be unopened. You can't make a bomb out of a ziplock bag full of Cookie Crisp. We always bring a sandwiches to eat on the plane.

I have been thinking.
What if we just make a checked bag with our extra food and drinks? We usually need water, gatorade and some soda. Has anyone checked a bag with drinks ? We would only have about a 12 pack of water, 6 pack of gatorade and 6 pack of soda. All would be in plastic bottles.

That's fine, but make sure that you double bag them and pad them really well - baggage handlers really throw things around and the bottles can burst. Also make sure your bag is less than 50 lbs.

Personally, I would just get groceries delivered.

Yes as long as you bought them after security you can take as much liquids as you like. I usually get us 2 bottles of water and pop before boarding never an issue. Plus if your flight is bumpy and the FA can get up so serve drinks, I have mine in my bag under the seat so I am good to go.

As for snacks, just realize that peanut butter is one of the things you can't carry on in a big jar. You can bring on the little Justin's packets that are under 100mL, and put them in your 311 baggies, but a jar is going to be thrown out. Put that in your checked bag (and expect the bag to be searched because PB does something weird on their xray machines). Jelly as well. etc.

This is silly. TSA doesn't care about packaged cereal and snacks which don't violate the liquids rule. They certainly do not give you a hard time about "everything."

Checking all those bottles of water and Gatorade will probably put you over the luggage weight limit.[/QUOTE
I will make sure it is not overweight if I decide to do this.

We only need 3 different kinds of drinks in about a 6 or 8 pack. Snacks wont weight that much.

Have you considered a grocery delivery to your resort rather than agonizing over all of the different packing options/ fees. We use Garden Grocer & find it well worth it.
A second question that I have had for quite sometime. Why do you open ALL your posts in Bold, Italic font. It is considered "yelling" & "rude". Really wondering why.

Yes I have considered Garden Grocer, we did use them last time. The thing is we do not need all that much and I don't know if it would be worth the extra money to use them.
I have never heard of bold and italic font to be rude and yelling. I know having the caps on is yelling. Why do you check all my posts?

I certainly DON'T check all your posts. I have simply noted, while on the DIS , all your opening posts that I have seen on many different threads are this way and wondered why do you do this?

To Hopefully .
Does it really matter if the poster uses bold print .

Using Bold print emphasis that the words are pointing out a fact or explanation in a sentence .

Yes. For sure. That is not how it is used, which is why I am curious

Well excuse me for writing in bold italic print. So I thought it looked better that way.
So I guess I learned something. I did graduate from high school and was never taught that.
I think it is rude to point out someones mistake in a forum.
Really what are you a retired teacher?
I wonder why you typed that ALL my post are like that when you did not read all my posts?
