What does DVC do with soft good referb items?

Just curious what DVC does with items that are replaced during a soft goods referb. Do they sell them, trash them, donate? And how about if they replace furniture? Someone in another thread was asking about the bed runners from aulani and that got me wondering about these items being replaced. It would probably be ashame if all they did was trash them.

I believe the contractors were getting quite a few items from BWV and may also have from VWL. Otherwise there's at least one or maybe two places that buy items and sell them online. You can get a lovely OKW bedspread should you wish!

Some items end up in the CM store, some sold in bulk to resale companies, other items trashed.

A good deal of those items end up at Cast Connection on WDW property. One has to either be a CM or be with a CM to go out there. I know lots of folks here that have gotten some of the former furniture from GF, a cute little "twig" table and chairs for kids from WL, etc. My CM friends tell me of all sorts of bedding, lamps, and all sorts of misc. stuff that can show up over there. I've only gotten to go out to Cast Connection one time. Wasn't a ton of stuff when I was there with some CM folks but no doubt the inventory changes constantly.

I have even seen bolts of fabric from the resort decor sold there. Many times have seen dressers etc. Lots of chairs, one time from one of the food courts I think. Great deals for local CMs, I am not a FL based CM though.
