We will be in Orlando for a week in mid March. We have the Flex tickets and plan to spend a few days in Universal and Sea World. I would like to visit Aquatica, but my husband thinks it will be too cold for a water park in March. What do you think?

In addition to the summer months, we have been to Aquatica on Christmas Eve (2012) and three days before Christmas (2015).....even then, we didn't find it too cold. March in central Florida can often get quite warm (even hot) so I would not hesitate to plan a waterpark day for that time of year.

But then again, we live in the north.....so we swim as long as there is no ice on the water :rotfl2: .

Time of the year doesn't matter- the weather is so variable. Like Gina said, they swam in December and it was warm. You may not believe this but we went to Aquatica last June when it's usually sweltering hot. Our day was raining in the morning and overcast the rest of the day. We were chilly!(outside of the water; the water was warm) We said to each other- no one will believe that we are cold in Florida in June!!

depends upon your constitution lol.

we excitedly jump in our unheated backyard pool when the water temp hits the upper 60's with a big grin to mask our chattering teeth:teeth:

wind can be an issue, makes a big difference when wearing a soaking wet suit. A rash guard shirt is good investment.

We went to Aquatica last Friday for the day. I think the forecast high was 73. The pools were heated. We did not go till about 11 to let the temps rise and we had a great time. There were a few times we were about to leave Roa's Rapids and saw the breeze blowing the trees and made another trip around.

They heat the water to about 86 degrees. I try to go on days when it is at least the mid 80s so I can warm up in the sun after getting cold in water over time. The wave pool seems the warmest to me. On a cooler days, I spend more time in it.

The restrooms are often freezing, but I have warmed up in the showers on cooler days.
