Sandals during the day right? At night is it too cool for sandals? We will be there next week and having a hard time figuring this out.:crazy2:

thanks for your help!

I'm also going next week and I'm not bringing sandals, but then again I'm from a hot climate so I won't be bothered by the daytime warmth. I'm guessing most people would be comfortable during the day in sandals, but I've heard it cools down a lot at night so I would plan on changing in the evening. Also consider your plans, because I imagine it feels a lot chillier sitting and waiting for fantasmic or a parade than it does walking around.

It was chilly last week and I wore flip flops every day but noticed that almost everyone wore sneakers. So I will suppose that's what most people found comfortable. I did wear sneakers at night and as the pp said, was glad I did waiting for nighttime shows. I'd definitely pack both to be safe.

I was there when it was 88 and we all wore excellent walking/running shoes. I wore a pedometer and I measured 35k steps one of the days. Sandals would never be comfortable enough for that.

We were in the parks for Thanksgiving and both wore lace up shoes with wool socks. The wool wicks and cools during the day and keeps toes warm at night. It was pretty chilly at night, and being still while waiting for PTN made it worse. The daytime was nice, but not warm enough for me to think about wearing sandals. If you are from a cold climate, then it may not be so chilly to you, but to the locals, it was cold.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to pack & wear. I'm planning to rent a locker for change of clothes & shoes or plan to change during our afternoon rest.

I like to wear comfortable shoes and bring a pair of cheap flip flops in my bag. I'll switch into the flip flops if it gets really warm or when I know I'm going to get wet on the ride.

I think a lot of you guys are saying what I was thinking-just like our clothes we will probably have to change shoes too. We are in Seattle so mid 70s will feel very warm to us, but being from Seattle we know all too well what happens when the sun starts to go down (!!!!!). Most of my shoes that are disney worthy are sandals, so I was hoping. But I will find a pair of shoes now too to bring. Thanks for all your input....

I have been trying to figure out the same thing.. We leave in 10 days... I am thinking of wearing my flip flops during the day (I just stopped wearing them and my toes like to be free lol) and my sketchers at night. Or do I pack my comfy ugg type boots for night.. So many decisions, Jeans, capris tanks tees. :mickeyjum

It's predicted to be 80 degrees this Saturday but with a low of 49. I don't mind having to change clothes if it means I can wear shorts & sandals in the winter. It will only get to 36 degrees that day where I'm from with a low of 20, so it will feel amazing. I love to travel to warmer climates in the winter!

Bringing a change of shoes is a good idea in any case. That way if your feet start swelling or if you get blisters, you can change in to another pair of shoes that are more comfortable.

For the last year I have worn (super expensive) sandals with arch support for my feet issues. Sneakers, no matter how comfortable for running, always give me blisters. I wear them there year round. Of course, I also wear them HERE (Phoenix) year round... Not sure what I will do though if they get the amount of rain they're expecting next year.

No matter the temperature, I wear my running shoes. And I only ever wear running shoes when working out - they are not part of my regular wardrobe. But my feet would be miserable if I tried to wear sandals or anything else. I love flip flops, but would never wear the in a theme park - I'd be worried about my toes being stepped on, getting caught in and out of rides, etc. My typical theme park wardrobe are my runners, capri leggings if it is hot, long leggings if it is cool, a t-shirt and a cute sweatshirt. I've never been there when it's super cold. If it was going to be really hot, I'd wear a tank top instead of a t-shirt. But anyway, for feet, it's all about comfort and arch support in my world.

I'm with those who wouldn't dream of wearing sandals to the park. Nothing to do with the weather, they would just kill my feet with as much walking as I do there. I wear really comfortable and good quality tennis shoes, or other types of shoes from Merrell, which I have found to be the most comfortable brand for my feet. I see some people walking around in flip flops and I just don't know how they do it! My feet would hurt so bad after just an hour of walking in them.

I walk a ton at DLR, and I wear sandals about half the time. I don't have any foot issues, though. I find the sandals/flips are really comfortable for about half the day and then I switch to running shoes or vice versa. Whichever one I switch to always feels REALLY good. I say bring both.

I wear Croc flip flops at the parks. They keep my feet happy and cool. I would not be able to wear just regular old flip flops or sandals with all of that walking. Which is why I'm so glad Crocs makes flip flops now that aren't so horribly ugly.

Yes, I'm in the middle of packing right now and it seems like this next week will have that kind of wishy washy weather where you just have to bring everything. If you're the type of person (like me) who needs to wear flip flops and capris/shorts whenever the weather is 75 or over, you'll either have to rent a locker or take time to go all the way back to the room to change since the temp drops rather dramatically once the sun goes down. I wish I could just wear my jeans and tennis shoes all day in order to avoid having to do that but I know I will be TOOO HOT during the day wearing that if it's 82 degrees! And inside Disneyland is usually a few degrees warmer than the outside world. Sigh, first world problems. ;)

I almost never wear sneakers unless it's to exercise or walk in a theme park. I'd love to wear sandals on theme park days, but I feel like my feet are ready to fall off by the afternoon.
