10 day trip?

Hi everyone,

Because of work constraints I can't work around having exactly 14 days of holiday at WDW. So I'm wondering if anyone has gone for 10-12 days at WDW, also wondering if anyone has just bought the 14 day ticket or how does it work staying for less than 14 days? We would be staying on site, unsure of the date yet.

Thanks!

We've done split holidays with 10 days at WDW, 14 day tickets are still the most economical, if you're planning to spend all 10 days at Disney.

Yep, planning to stay all at Disney as it will be our first time. Thanks for your advice ::yes::

for perspective :

your 14 days ticket costs £289
at the current exchange rate that's $435

for $435 with US tickets (same options = hopper + waterpaks) you get a 8 days ticket.

so even if you only go to the parks for 10 of your 14 days on your ultimate tickets, you still get 2 days free compared to "regular" US tickets. IYSWIM

It doesn't matter how long you stay. Your UK/Ultimate 14 days ticket get you unlimited access to the parks for 14 days after your first visit to any park. It doesn't matter how many times you go to the parks. Those tickets are not a number of days or entries. They basically work like annual passes, except they only last 14 days instead of a year (minus the AP perks of course)

Yes, we did 10 days back in 2012, flew to Miami & spent a few days chilling out & getting over the jet lag before we drove up to WDW.
You will still manage to get a lot done, especially if your staying onsite.

We stayed 10 nights in 2012 and are doing the same next year. Disney, Universal and shopping :) . I was considering doing gator world ( or whatever it's called?) and a few other places but I'm gonna save then for a longer trip.

It's doable but obviously 14 nights or longer would be ideal.

We're planning a 9 or 10 day trip next year. If your group can do early mornings and late nights you will be able to do pretty much everything in the parks in 10 days. My daughter is too young for maximum park open hours, and too old to easily nap in the afternoon, so we will be a bit constrained, but we'll still manage all the things we really want to do. We like eating though, so we do devote a fair bit of time to meals. You will just need to prioritise - you can't have long table service meals, and spend loads of time at the pool, and do a few other attractions in Orlando and have shopping trips, and do everything in the parks at a leisurely pace...but then you can't do that in 14 days either :-)

You'll have a fab time!

We often do 10 days. Sometimes twice a year. Totally worth it. We buy an annual pass as it works out cheaper we get 2-3 visits out of it. Say we vacation end of May. Following May we come 2 weeks earlier. But we are DVC so get discount. I would get the ultimate ticket if I was just coming for 10 days and no plans for the following year or again that year. This year we were lucky to come both May and going for Christmas.

We had the 14 day ticket for a 7 night stay, as it was exactly the same price that year (2014) and it gave us the freedom to visit a park on our arrival day if we felt like it. We didn't go in the end, but it's no problem to have a longer ticket than your trip!

10 days sounds great to me. Although we still had things we wanted to do, we were missing home (and our birds) by the end of our 7 night trip, and I'm a bit worried 14 nights away will feel too long for us. We've never been away that long!

We have done 10 nights more than once and as long as you don't try to do everything its fine.

I would get the 14 day ticket for a 10 night trip as it gives you the most freedom. Its also cheaper than the US equivalent ticket which would be a 10 day hopper with water parks.

We do a split universal disney stay and because we're not driving we pretty much have to stay at the resort we pick. So we're only doing 8 days disney this year and I know we'll get plenty done. However I have been the last couple of years even if bf hasn't so I know what things we can skip and prioritise.

For a 10 day trip the 14 day UK ticket is the best deal financially. I have done one 10 day trip and this is the ticket I used. It was just me and DD (13) and we are veterans and park stormers. It was a perfect amount of time for an on site WDW trip with no other attractions. We stayed at AKL and didn't have a car. I think 10 days is enough for a fun trip but wouldn't try and fit it anything other than Disney if it's your first trip. To get the most out of 10 days for a first trip though be prepared to get up early at least 6 days to open the parks. Two early starts at MK and DHS. One each at AK and Epcot.

We usually do around ten days and always buy the best value ticket for whichever parks we plan to visit, which is usually 14 days. We usually do 2-4 parks over a 10 day period which is plenty.

We've done 10 nights a few times and our upcoming Christmas trip is one of those. We now have annual passes but in the past have used the 14 day pass. As others have already stated this will be the most economical for you. You'll be able to enjoy WDW at your own pace.

We did 10 days last year, and will be doing the same again next year.

Maybe it was because we went at a quieter time of the year, or maybe we used our fast passes in a savvy way, but we found 10 days plenty of time to get EVERYTHING we wanted to do done! (And that also included a MVMCP and our favourite pass time, people watching!!)

As with everyone else, 14 pass is still worth getting at 10 days!

We did 9 days at Disney in may after a disney cruise and it actually felt like it was more of a 14 day trip.
I was really surprised that I'd didn't feel rushed at all.
If you can hire a car I would, as that means you can park hop alot easier and quicker.you won't spend so much time on disney transport which I find on a shorter trip, really can eat into your time.

We moving house next month, and it will cost us an extra £400 a month, and I'm desperate to go to Disney again next year, so we're now thinking of a 10 day disney trip, and maybe for our boys adding an extra few days at universal.
But I'd happily do 10 days again if It was that or nothing.

My job combined with my partners combined with flight prices means it's almost impossible for us to go for longer than a week. In all my trips I've only had 2 where I've had longer than 7 nights in Orlando. Would I like to stay longer? Yes. Do I regret a week long trip? Never, some Disney is worth it!!

I did 10 days this year with a 14 day ticket, no issue just not there for the remaining 4 days its valid. I only did Disney and a day of shopping and had a greta time, was a fab amount of time to have a more relaxed pace at the parks but still manage most things I wanted. I'd have absolutely loved to stay longer but it was worth it still

We've done 4, 7 and 10 day trips and every trip is worth it. (The 4 day wasn't with kids though) We got a cheeky week at pop century with dirt cheap Thomson flights one year and it was brilliant, felt like way longer.
